A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Master of Technology courses in National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra should have passed B.Sc. (Engg.)/ B.Tech./B.E. Degree or equivalent examination in the relevant discipline

A candidate should have at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in qualifying examination such as B.Sc.(Engg.)/B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc.Degree Examination (50% marks or equivalent CGPA for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes Candidates) on the basis of which the admission is being sought. Eligibility Criteria

For Admission to M.E./ M.Tech./ M.Arch./ MBA (Infrastructure Management) Course (Full-Time) : Course is open for

i) Candidates who have passed the prescribed Qualifying Examinations as specified in the brochure with not less than 50% of the marks in aggregate of all the semesters / years of the degree examination (cumulative sum of secured marks of all the semesters / years divided by the sum of the maximum marks). However, in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and CAT-1, marks shall not be less than 45 %.

ii) Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination and expecting the result within the last date as prescribed by the PGCET cell.

For Admission to M.E./ M.Tech./ M.Arch. (Part-Time): in addition to the qualification prescribed above, the candidates must have worked for not less than three years (after qualifying examination, experience is considered up to the date of notification ie 17-5-2010) in an establishment and must be working in an organization situated within a radial distance of 40 km from the institution in which the candidate seeks admission. However, the employer has to fill-up the NOC duly signed by the competent authority which is in item No. 15 of the application form.

Merit list will be based on the GATE score of the candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

No candidates shall be allowed to be admitted to the first year of the MBBS / BDS courses until:

He / she shall complete the age of l7 years on or before 31st December 2010.

He /she has passed senior secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination or from any recognized Board which is equivalent to 10+2 examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of the study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology with English as compulsory subject (English at a level not less than the core course of English as prescribed by NCERT). He/she must have obtained minimum 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology.

In respect of candidates belonging to Schedule Caste / Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (OBC), the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together be 40% instead of 50% as stated above.

Candidates who have appeared for 10+2 examination can also appear in the Entrance Test. However, even after their selection, the admission will be subject to condition laid down above.
