Eligibility Criteria

For BMLT / DMLT Programme: 10+2 or its equivalent with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) with minimum 45% marks or 10+2 with Medical Laboratory Technology (Vocational).

For BMRHIT Programme: 10+2 or its equivalent with minimum 45% marks (Science students will be given preference).

For Other Programmes: 10+2 or its equivalent with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) with minimum 45% marks.

Minimum age 17 years as on 1st July 2010.

For Post Graduate Certificate Programmes: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any recognized University/ Institution. Minimum

Age: No bar.

The Student Handbook & Prospectus for the Paramedical/Allied Health Sciences Programmes.- 2010 can be obtained from the Registrar (SRD) IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi- 1 10068 and also from all Regional Centres of IGNOU (please see addresses from the website)
by sending a sum of Rs. 150/- through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi/city of concerned Regional Centre or by paying Rs. 100/- in cash at the respective sale counters.

Indian Economic Service - IES And Indian Statistical Service - ISS Exam

The Union Public Service Commission will hold the Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2010 commencing from 04th December, 2010 for recruitment to Grade IV of the Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service.

Eligibility Criteria

(a) Age Limits:
Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st January, 2010.

The upper age limit is relaxable for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/ Other Backward Classes / Physically Handicapped and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.

(b) Educational Qualifications:

A candidate for the Indian Economic Service must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Economics/ Applied Economics/ Business Economics/ Econometrics and a candidate for the Indian Statistical Service must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics / Applied Statistics from a recognised University.

(c) Physical Standards:

Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in Appendix-lll of the Rules for the Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2010 published in the Gazette of India dated 05th June, 2010.

Application Procedure

(a) The candidates, who wish to apply offline, must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post Offices (specified in Appendix-III of the Notice) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs.20/- (Rupees Twenty only).

Each such Form can be used only once and only for one examination.
In case of any difficulty in obtaining Application Forms from the designated HPOs/ POs, the candidates should immediately contact the concerned Post Master or UPSC’s "FORMS SUPPLY MONITORING CELL" over Telephone No. 011-23389366/Fax No. 011-23387310.

(b) Candidates can also apply Online using the link http://www.upsconline.nic.in Detailed instructions for filling up Online applications are available on the above mentioned Website.

EXAMINATION FEE :

(a) Candidates applying Offline (through Common Application Form) are required to pay a fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only.

(b) Candidates applying Online are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs.50/- (Rupees Fifty only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI or by
using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.

(c) All Female candidates/SC/ ST/ Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted from payment of Fee. (OBC candidates are required to pay full fee).

(a) Common Application Form All offline applications must reach the "Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi- 110 069" either by hand or by Post/ Speed Post or by Courier, on or before the 05th July, 2010.

However, in respect of candidates residing abroad or in certain remote areas specified in the Notice the last date for receipt of applications by Post/Speed Post only (not by Hand or by Courier) is 12th July, 2010.

(b) Online

The Online Applications can be filled upto 28th June, 2010 till 11.59 PM. after which the link will be disabled.
