4. M.D./M.S. & MDS Courses

Eligibility Criteria

For DM: A Candidate must possess a degree in MD/MS or DNB from a University recognized by the MCI in the respective discipline

For M.Ch.: A candidate must possess M.S. degree in Surgery of this Institute or any other University recognized by the MCI.

Note : The candidate who are likely to complete 3 years requisite tenure and degree by 30th January 2011 may also apply. However, the candidates who complete their 3 years requisite tenure after 30th January 2011 are not eligible to take up this examination.

For MHA:

For medical graduates : (1) The candidate must possess MBBS or an equivalent degree with a minimum experience of three years in a hospital in the relevant field or five years in general practice. A certificate issued by the District Magistrate in support of the general practice claimed should be enclosed with the application.

(2) The candidate should have secured at least 55% marks in aggregate in all MBBS professional examinations.

For non-medical graduates: (1) Non-medical graduate will only be considered for Sponsored seats. (2) A candidates must possess Bachelor's Degree of a recognized University in Arts or Science or Nursing or Business Administration or Commerce or Engineering or any technical subject with at least 60% marks. (3) A minimum experience of having held a responsible administrative position for a period of not less than seven years is essential.

For Ph.D.:

A candidate seeking admission to the course of study leading to the award of a Degree of Doctor of Philosophy must possess at least one of the following qualifications of a recognized University/Institutes:

(1) A degree of Master of Sciences or Master's degree in any subject allied to Bio Medical Sciences or Master's Degree in Nursing with at least 60% marks or Master of Surgery or Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree or Diplomate of the National Board of Examinations.

(2) MBBS degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the professional examinations.

For MD / MS/ MDS:

a) A candidate must possess MBBS degree for MD/MS and BDS degree for MDS courses of a University recognized by the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of Indian and must have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating internship/Practical training on or before 30th January, 2011. The candidate who complete their internship after 30th January 2011 are not eligible to take up this examination.

b) The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in all the MBBS/BDS professional examinations for other category including OBC category and 50% for candidate belonging to SCs/STs

Application Procedure

A. Online Application: A candidate can submit application On-Line through Internet. Visit www.aiimsenams.org Read the prospectus and other details carefully and follow the instructions given therein. The candidate can pay the application fee through a challan form (down loaded from internet while applying on-line) in any branch of State Bank of India. Transaction Processing Fee (as applicable) will be payable to the Bank.

B. Off-line Application : Prospectus-cum-Application Form can also be obtained BY POST by sending a crossed Bank Draft for Rs. 1050/-- for General / OBC and Rs. 550/- for S.C / S.T. category, drawn in favour of the "ACCOUNTS OFFICER (EXAMS), AIIMS-PG-JAN., 2011 ". The Bank Draft should be payable al New Delhi and should be valid for six months [upto Feb / March 2011]. The request should reach the Assistant Controller of Examinations, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi-110 508 on or before 30th September, 2010.

The address at which Application Form is required should be written clearly in CAPITAL LETTERS and with PIN code. The following words should be written on top of the envelope: "Request for Application Form for AIMS-PG / Post Doctoral Courses, Jan. 2011 Session'.

Prospectus can also be obtained by hand from the Reception Counter of Examination Section, AIIMS against Bank Draft for Rs.1000/- for General / OBC and Rs. 800/- for SC/ST category drawn in favour of the " ACCOUNTS OFFICER (EXAMS), AIIMS-PG-JAN., 2011" as specified above.

Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Aided Management (PGDCM)Eighteenth Session, 2011-2013

Application Procedure

At the time of registration for CAT 2010, select PGP-PGDCM along with other options. There will be no separate application form, payment, or test for admission to this programme.

CURRICULUM FOR PGDCM

Students complete their compulsory course requirements in the first year. The list of compulsory courses is developed around the following five building blocks: (i) understanding the basics of disciplines and functions of business management; (ii) understanding human and organization behavior; (iii) understanding the environment and society; (iv) knowing ICT tools well ; and (v) knowing application areas of ICT.

In the second year, the students choose elective courses from functional and ICT-related areas. In addition, they also complete a
Year long industry/research project on an ICT-related topic. An lCT related course or topic is one that either dwells on ICT or discusses use of ICT in one or more functional areas.

Selection Process

PGDCM applicants should appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT). Applicants are advised to refer to the CAT advertisement. CAT eligibility for PGDCM is the same as for PGDM. The interview shortlist will be prepared based on multiple criteria such as CAT score, academic performance and relevant work experience. The shortlisted candidates will appear for Group Discussion/Personal Interview (GD/ Pl), which will also evaluate candidates competence and interest in ICT.

Combined Medical Services Examination, 2011

Eligibility Criteria

(a) Age Limits
Must not have attained the age of 32 years on 15th January, 2011. The upper age limit is reiaxable for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/ Other Backward Classes / Physically Handicapped and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.

(b) Educational Qualifications
A candidate must have passed the written and practical parts of final M.B.B.S, Examination.

Application Procedure

(a) Candidates may apply Online by using the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the above mentioned Website.

(b) Candidates may also apply offline in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices / Post Offices (specified in Appendix—lll of the Notice published in the Employment News dated 11.09.2010) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs.20/- (Rupees Twenty only). Each such Form can be used only once and only for one examination.

In case of any difficulty in obtaining Application Forms from the designated HPOs/POs, the candidates should immediately contact the concerned Post Master or UPSC's “FORMS SUPPLY MONITORING CELL" over Telephone No.011-23389366/ Fax No.011-23387310.

FEE :
(a) Candidates applying Online are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs.50/- (Rupees Fifty only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card.

(b) Candidates applying Offline (through Common Application Form) are required to pay a fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only.

(c) All Female candidates/SC/ ST/ Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted from payment of Fee. (OBC candidates are required to pay full fee).

However, in respect of candidates residing abroad or in certain remote areas specified in the Notice, the last date for receipt of applications by Post/Speed Post only (not by Hand or by Courier) is 18th October, 2010.
