Application Form with Prospectus can be had from the Deputy Registrar (Academic) either in person by cash payment or by post by sending a written request specifying the programme and enclosing a crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Registrar, The Gandhigram Rural Institute, Deemed University payable in Canara Bank, Gandhigram Rural Institute, Gandhigram (Code No. 8500) Or State Bank of India, Ambathurai (Code No 3373) or any Nationalized / Scheduled bank in Dindigul.

An additional payment of Rs. 50/- needs to be made in case of DD drawn from other Banks.

Application Form and Prospectus can also be drawn from the website ruraluniv.ac.in in which case Demand Draft should be enclosed for the cost of application and registration fee along with filled in application form.

PAT/PHT/PUT BNYS Joint Entrance Test – 2014

Online Applications are invited for admission to the Ayurved/Homoeopathic/Unani/BNYS graduation courses being run by the State / Private Colleges in the Rajasthan State. The admission will be made through Joint Entrance Test 2014 scheduled to be held on 18 June 2014 (Wednesday).


Admissions for Ayurved course being run by the National Institute of Ayurved, Jaipur and for the Homoeopathic, Unani & Naturopathy facilities will be made through Joint Entrance Test conducted at the National level, for which the residents of all the States in India can apply for admission.

For admission to all the remaining Ayurved Colleges, only bonafide Residents of Rajasthan may apply for the Joint Entrance Examination.

Bose Institute: Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. Programs in Life Sciences and Physical Science

In collaboration with the Calcutta University, Bose Institute launched 2 Integrated M.Sc-Ph.D Programs in 2011 (Life Sciences) and 2012 (Physical Science). The Programs, approximately 6 years long, have been designed to make the transition from classroom to research laboratory seamless, with an exposure to ongoing global research activities from the very beginning.


Applications are invited for admission to the Integrated M.Sc-Ph.D Programs (Academic Session 2014-15) from motivated graduates with good academic record from any branch of science.

Not more than 20 students in Life Science and 8 in Physical Science will be admitted on the basis of academic record and performance in eligibility tests and interview.

Reservation of Seats: Reservation of seats shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Act 2006 and circulars of Government of India issued and amended in this regard from time to time. 22.5% of seats in all programs are reserved for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and 27% of seats will be reserved for OBC. 8% of seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to Hyderabad Karnataka Region.
