KBAT 2014 Online Entrance Test

The KBAT 2014 is entrance test for Biotechnology Finishing School (BTFS) Job-Oriented courses with fellowship for Life Science students. Students who cleared KBAT Entrance Test receives fellowship worth Rs. 10000/- per month. The KBAT is unique initiative in India with enhanced placement opportunities in Biotech Sector, launched by Govt. of Karnataka in association with Govt. of India and ABLW. The course covers 8 domains in 12 reputed institutes across Karnataka.

Courses Offered:  Bioinformatics & Rational Drug Design, Cellular & Molecular Diagnostics,  Fermentation & Bioprocessing,  Nurtraceuticals & Food Processing,  Plant Tissue Culture & Micropropagation,  Plant Genetic Transformation, Genome, Seed and Marker Analysis, Pre-Clinical, Clinical Research, Biostatics & Data Management,  Protein Expression & Scale-Up.
Online applications are invited for Admission to job-oriented one year Post Graduate Diploma Programmes catering to the needs of Biotech - industry through the Biotechnology Finishing Schools (BTFS).

Course Duration: 6 Months academic training & 6 months industry internship.

Fellowship: Rs. 10,000/- per month Fellowship will be provided by Dept. of Biotechnology, Govt. of India for candidates selected

Eligibility: Minimum 50% in Master's degree in Life sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics or any other related courses or B.E./B.Tech in Biotech, Bioinformatics or B.Pharm, B.Sc. (Agril), B.V.Sc., MBBS, BDS. *B.Sc. (*only for Plant tissue Culture & Micropropagation course).

Candidates who have appeared for final exams can also apply.

Selection: Through Online Entrance Test - Karnataka Biotechnology Aptitude Test (KBAT), followed by an interview at Bangalore.
