GATE 2018 Final Answer Key

GATE 2018 Final Answer Key for different GATE subjects shall be published on 14 March 2018. Candidates who has taken GATE 2018 Exam can check the final answers by GATE Examination Authority starting 14 March 2018.

GATE i.e. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is jointly administered by Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Bangalore and Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). On the basis of performance in GATE seats are offered in post graduate programs in engineering, sciences and technology offered through various departments of IITs and IISc Bangalore.

Besides MHRD Scholarships and various other scholarships are also offered on the basis of GATE percentile.

Institutes across India accepts GATE score for admission into post graduate programs in Engineering, Sciences and Technology.

PSUs also use GATE score for the purpose of recruitment.

This year administering authority for GATE 2018 is Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG)

Who are eligible to write GATE Computer Based Test (CBT)?

GATE i.e. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is Computer Based Test (CBT) for admission into Masters degree equivalent (M.E. / M.Tech etc) and Ph.D Research programmes in Engineering, Sciences and Technology disciplines. Candidates who have qualification in any of the following study discipline (Engineering/Technology/Science) are eligible to apply for GATE-Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering:

GATE 2013 Application Fees

Good news for female candidates, there is no application fee applicable for women candidate applying for GATE 2013.

GATE 2013 Application Fee for General/OBC-NC (Male Applicants)     is Rs 1200/-
GATE 2013 Application Fee for SC / ST / PD* (Male Applicants) is Rs 600/-
GATE 2013 Application Fee for Female Applicants is Rs 0 (Exempted)

GATE 2013 Application Fee includes application form fee, price of information brochure and GATE 2013 examination fees.

GATE 2013 Eligibility Criteria

GATE 2013 is administered by IIT Bombay for Admission into IITs, IISc Bangalore and other GATE Score accepting institutions. Who are eligible to write GATE 2013? Here is a sum up of GATE 2013 eligibility criteria.

Admission to Four Year Bachelor of Science (BS) programme

Applications are invited for admission to Four Year Bachelor of Science (BS) programme.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed their II PUC / 12th Standard in 2010 and those who are expecting to complete in 2011 are eligible to apply. The candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects during their PUC / 12th Standard.

Application Procedure

The application form may be obtained by any of the following two methods.
Off-line application - Send your request for an application form with two address slips, with your mailing address clearly written (preferably stickers), and a Demand Draft for Rs. 600/- for GN/ OBC/ KM candidates (Rs.300/- for SC/ST/PH categories, along with a copy of an appropriate certificate) to the Deputy Registrar (Academic), Admissions [^] Unit, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore - 560 012. The DD has to be drawn in favour of “Registrar, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore”. Requests for off-line applications will be received only after January 1, 2011.

Online Application -
Online application may be prepared and submitted by accessing the IISc website www.iisc.ernet.in/ug with effect from 01.01.2011. Online application fee is Rs. 400/- for GN/OBC/KM candidates and Rs. 200/- for SC/ST/PH categories. After submitting the online application, a printed copy of the filled online application along with a Demand Draft for the required amount must be sent to the Institute. Deadline for submitting online application is 25.03.2011.

Indian Institute of Science invites applications for the IISc. Summer Fellowship in Science and Engineering for SC/ST Students - 2009

Eligibility:
Students studying I year M.Sc in science disciplines (Biological Sciences/Physics, Chemistry/ Mathematics) or III year B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree, during the academic year 2008-09.

Selection Criteria:
IISc. will evolve a suitable criteria for selecting the candidates for the programme.

Financial Support:
IISc. will provide:
- Travelling allowance equivalent to II Class train fare from College/residence to IISc. and back.
- Free board and lodging (on shared basis) at IISc.
- Fellowship of Rs.5,000/- and a book grant of Rs.1500/-

Features of the Programme:
Selected candidates students will work with one of the IISc. Faculty members and learn various techniques used in research for a period of one month during May-June 2009.

Last date for submission of filled in application form is 31 March 2009.

Award of DBT – Research Associateship in Biotechnology & Life Sciences - 2009

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the award of "DBT-Research Associateship” for pursuing research in frontier areas of Biotechnology and applied biology. The Associateship is tenable in Research Institutional Universities including non-profit R&D Institutions within India. The Associateships are awarded under a program sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India

Eligibility

The applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in Science, Engineering or M.D. or M.S. degree in any area of medicine with research interests in Biotechnology and Life Sciences and a good academic record. The Associateship can be availed within 3 years of the award of Ph.D/M.D./ M.S. degree; however, may be relaxable in case of women (by 2 years) and in-service candidates.

Those who have already submitted the Ph.D/ M.D / M.S. thesis are also eligible to apply. The applicants should preferably be below the age of 40 years and 45 years in case of women candidates. Persons already employed are also eligible to apply. However, their applications should be routed through their employers.

DETAILS OF THE AWARD


The Research Associateship is a purely temporary assignment and is tenable for a period of 2 years. ln exceptional cases, depending upon the progress ofthe research, the Associateship maybe extended upto 5 years. Each fellow would be entitled to a stipend in the range of Rs.16,000- 18,000 per month and a research contingency grant of Rs. 50,000 per year, payable to the host Institution.

Candidates who are yet to be awarded the Ph.D/M.D./M.S. degree, if selected, will be paid Rs. 14,000 per month till the award of the
degree. The associate would also be entitled to HRA and other benetits as per the DST guidelines applicable to Research Associateship. The Associateships normally are not availed at the same Institution where candidates have earned their Ph.D./M.D./M.S. degree. Candidates who are already in regular employment cannot avail the Associateship at their host institutions.

However, there will be no restriction for them to receive the salary and other benefits while availing the Associateship in Institutions other than their parent Institutions.

MODE OF SELECTION

The Candidates will be selected based on their C.V. and performance in the interview. The interview will be held at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in April/May 2009 and candidates called for interview will be paid ll class railway (non-AC) / Bus fare by the shortest route from their home town. If the candidate accepts the Associateship, he/she must join the host Institution/University within a month`s time.

MODE OF APPLICATION

Candidates may submit their application on plain paper along with bio-data, list of publications (attach reprints of 2 important papers), copies of certificates (B.Sc., M.Sc. Ph.D./M.D./M.S.). One page synopsis of Ph.D. / M.D./M.S. thesis, 2 letters of recommendation (academic). The applicant is advised to propose his/her place of work, name of the supervisor, enclose one page synopsis of proposed research which must he compatible with the on-going research of the proposed supervisor, and his/her consent for availing the Associateship.

They should also enclose a declaration stating that if selected for the Associateship, he/she will complete the tenure of the Associateship. However, they may be allowed to relinquish the Associateship only if accepting permanent employment in India. Those who had applied previously need not apply.
