All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination 2010 (AIEEE - 2010)

Paper I: 25.04.2010 - 0930-1230 Hours

Paper II: 25.04.2010 - 1400-1700 Hours


Eligibility

LIST OF QUALIFYING EXAMINATIONS

i) The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.

ii) Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.

iii) Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.

iv) Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.

v) H.S.C. Vocational Examination.

vi) A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.

vii) 3 or 4-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education

Note: Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination may also appear in AIEEE 2010 for consideration of provisional admission. Those appearing in 10+2 (Class 12) in 2011 are not eligible to appear in AIEEE-2010.

Date of Birth:

Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1985 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1980 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the SecondaryEducation Board/University certificate only will be taken as authentic.

How to Apply

Application can either be made ‘Online’ or submitted on prescribed Application Form only.

Information Bulletin containing Application Form can also be obtained by post from the Assistant Secretary (AIEEE), Central Board of Secondary Education, PS 1-2, Institutional Area, I P Extension, Patparganj, Delhi - 110092 or personally from Regional Offices of CBSE and Designated Branches of Syndicate Bank/other Banks/Designated Institutions.

The Syndicate Bank/other Banks, the designated institutions and Regional Offices of the CBSE will not send the Information Bulletin by Post. Hence, no request should be made to them for sending the Bulletin by Post. Candidate should not buy the Information Bulletin from any private publisher/ vendor as these may be fake Information Bulletins.

The Regional Offices of CBSE, designated branches of Syndicate Banks/Other Banks/designated Institutions are not responsible for any consequences, that may arise due to non-availability of forms in case the copies of application forms are sold out before the last date.

The candidate should get the Information Bulletin containing application forms from the Assistant Secretary (AIEEE), CBSE, PS 1-2 Institutional Area, IP Extension, Patparganj, Delhi-110 092 by post.

The cost of Information Bulletin inclusive of examination and counselling fee for BE/B.Tech only or B.Arch/ B.Planning only is Rs. 450/- for General and OBC candidates and Rs. 225/- for SC/ST candidates. Candidates appearing for both BE/B.Tech and B.Arch/B.Planning together should send their application form along with additional fee in the form of Demand Draft of Rs. 300/- for General & OBC candidates and Rs. 150/- for SC/ST candidates in favour of Secretary, CBSE payable at Delhi/ New Delhi.

For candidates opting examination centre in foreign country, the examination and counselling fees for appearing in BE/B Tech only or B Arch/B Planning only is Rs. 1000/- for General and OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST candidates that includes counselling fee. They should send additional fees @ Rs. 550/- for General and OBC Category & Rs. 275/- for SC & ST Category in the form of demand draft in favour of Secretary, C.B.S.E payable at Delhi/New Delhi. Those who want to appear both BE/B.Tech & B. Arch/B Planning together they should send their application form along with additional fee in the form of demand Draft of Rs.1550/- for General and OBC candidates and Rs. 775/ - for SC/ST candidates in favour of Secretary, CBSE payable at Delhi/New Delhi.

To obtain Information Bulletin containing Application Form by post, candidates should send their request to the Assistant Secretary (AIEEE), Central Board of Secondary Education, PS 1-2, Institutional Area, IP Extension, Patparganj, New Delhi - 110092 along with a bank draft of Rs.500/- for General and OBC Category and Rs. 275/- for SC/ST candidates in favour of The Secretary, CBSE, payble at Delhi/New Delhi and a self-addressed envelope of 12” x 10”. This includes Rs. 50/- towards postal charges.

Candidates appearing for both BE/B.Tech and B.Arch/ B.Planning together should send their application form along with additional fee in the form of Demand Draft of Rs. 300/- for General & OBC and Rs. 150/- for SC/ST candidates in favour of Secretary, CBSE payable at Delhi/New Delhi.

Online submission of application

The online submission of particular may be made at website www.aieee.nic.in . The candidates should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. On submission of details, a Confirmation page with Registration No. shall be generated. Candidates are required to take printout of Confirmation page and paste photographs, put left hand thumb impression and Sign in the space earmarked for the purpose. The confirmation Page is to be sent by Registered/Speed Post to CBSE and payment can be made as follows:

(a) by credit card, or
(b) Demand Draft from any scheduled commercial bank, or

Candidates submitting applications online are required:
-To retain a photocopy of Confirmation Page with Registration No. and
-Copy of mode of remittance of Examination fee:

In addition to Examination Fee, following Service/ Processing Charges will have to be paid by the candidates.

(i) For obtaining Information Bulletin along with Application Form on cash payment …… Rs. 5/- through designated branches of Syndicate Bank or designatedinstitutions.

(ii) For online submission of application with payment through Credit Card …… 2.25% of the examination fee

Scheme of Examination

Entrance examination would consist of two papers i.e. 1st paper consisting of three parts of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of equal weightage with objective type questions for BE/B.Tech courses and 2nd paper – consisting of Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing for B. Architecture and B. Planning. The Aptitude Test is designed to evaluate candidate’s perception, imagination, observation, creativity and architectural awareness.

The applicant is to fill in his/her personal information, give the payment particulars of Demand Draft number and date, and submit the form online. The applicant will take the printout of ISB&M Application Form, fill in all the necessary details, paste his/her recent photograph and sign across the photograph. The applicant is to enclose the Demand Draft of Rs. 1100/- in favour of “International School of Business & Media Training Pvt. Ltd.” payable at Pune and send it along with the Application Form by courier / registered post/speed post in any of the Admission Offices. Cheques will not be accepted. Once the Admissions Office receives the DD, the prospectus will be sent to the applicant by courier/speed-post.

Master of Surgery :

(a) Candidates holding Degree of B.U.M.S. of this University or its equivalent with

50% marks obtained in Jarahat at the undergraduate examination from a recognized

Institution included in the II - Schedule of IMCC Act, 1970 enrolled in a State /

Central Register of I.S.M.

(b) Compulsory rotatory internship for a period prescribed by CCIM.

(c) House job in Surgery (Jarahat) for a period of at least 6 months/two years

practical surgical experience in a recognised hospital. The certificate of experience

will have to be duly certified by the Superintendent of a recognised hospital or Civil

Surgeon.

(d) House job will not be required for those candidates who have passed 4 & 1/2

years B.U.M.S. degree Course with one year compulsory rotatory internship,

appearing for Jarahat.

PG Degree / Diploma Courses

(i) The candidate must have passed the M.B.B.S. examination from this University.

(ii) The candidate should have obtained full registration i.e., they should have

completed satisfactorily one year of compulsory rotatory internship after passing

the final M.B.B.S. Examination and should have full registration with Medical

Council of India / State Medical Council

M. Ch. (Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery) - 2010:

Medical Graduate holding the Degree of M.S. (General Surgery) from an Institution

recognised by the Medical Council of India.

MDS Courses:

The candidate must have passed the BDS Examination from this University. They

must have completed satisfactorily one year of compulsory Rotatory Internship after

passing the BDS Final Examinations and must have full Registration with DCI / State

DCI.
