GPAT 2013 – Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi conducts GPAT 2013 for admission into Post Graduate course in Pharmacy leading to award of M.Pharm i.e Master in Pharmacy qualification / Doctoral Program in Pharmacy i.e. Ph.D and for award of scholarships and fellowships
to pharmacy graduates. GPAT 2013 will be Online GPAT instead of traditional paper based GPAT. Candidates interested in pursuing M.Pharm have to apply Online for GPAT 2013.  Candidates who have M.Pharm can may apply for Direct admission into Ph.D. program without appearing for GPAT 2013. The candidates having GPAT 2013 Score will also be eligible for award of JRF i.e. Junior Research Fellowship in CSIR Laboratories and joint CSIR/UGC projects. GPAT 2013 Score may also make criteria for admission into self financing post graduate pharmacy program in some institutes.

Qualification for admission into M.Pharm program

For admission into M.Pharm program or Doctoral Program in Pharmacy in a pharmacy college or pharmacy institute in India and for eligibility of MHRD and Other Government Scholarships / assistantships GPAT Score is essential along with 4 years bachelors’ degree in Pharmacy.
GPAT 2013 Educational Eligibility
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, a 4 year qualification after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates. Those in the final semester of such program are also eligible to apply.

GPAT 2013 Exam Pattern

• GPAT 2013 is online entrance examination. The question paper pattern will be similar as GPAT 2012. However GPAT 2013 is not offered as paper based test.
• GPAT 2013 is online test of 3 hour duration
• GPAT 2013 will test candidates’ ability through 125 questions of 4 marks each.
• Each question will have 4 answer choices from which candidates’ have to select correct answer corresponding to each question.
• For each wrongly answered question a candidate will be penalized by 1 mark. 

GPAT 2013 Application Fees

• The application fee is Rs 1200 for general category candidates and Rs 600 for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped candidates.
• Applicant can pay fees online while filling application form using credit card, debit card, net banking or deposit cash in any branch of State bank of India. See List of SBI Branches, click here. 
• The GPAT 2013 application is available online only.

Criteria for award of MHRD Scholarships

GPAT 2013 score will have 70% weightage and candidate’s academic record 30 weightage where he / she has secured admission in a pharmacy institute’s masters / doctoral program through interview conducted by institute for selection. Some institute may also ask for GPAT 2013 Score for admission even without availability of MHRD Scholarship.

GPAT 2013 Score Card

GPAT 2013 Score Card will be issued to candidates qualified in GPAT 2013 Online Examination.
GPAT 2013 Score will be valid for 1 year only.

GPAT 2013 Result will be declared on 31 May 2013 online.

AIIMS MBBS Entrance Examination Notification 2013

ADMISSION NOTICE NO. 1/2013

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR  AIIMS - M.B.B.S. COURSE, 2013
(INCLUDING SIX NEW AIIMS LIKE INSTITUTIONS)

Applications are invited in the prescribed form through online mode for admission to M.B.B.S. Course of AIIMS New Delhi and six new AIIMS like Institutions.  For eligibility criteria, availability of seats and other details please visit AIIMS website www.aiimsexams.org. The Prospectus and application form will be available on above website w.e.f. 25/2/2013.


DATE OF ENTRANCE EXAMINATION: Entrance Examination will be conducted  on 01.06.2013 (Saturday)  in Ahmedabad, Bangaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna and Raipur.

Application  Procedure:  A  candidate  can  submit  application  through  Online  mode  by  Visiting www.aiimsexams.org. Read the Prospectus, Help Manual and other details carefully and follow the instructions given therein.  The Application fee is `1000/- (`800/- in case of SC/ST candidates). The candidate can pay the application fee through a Credit- Debit Card or Challan Form (to be downloaded from internet while applying on-line) in any branch of State Bank of India.  Transaction / Processing Fee as applicable will be payable to the Bank by the candidates.

It may please be noted that: 
 
1. Those applying on 24/03/2013 i.e. on the last date of closing of registration and are unable to deposit the fee through challan mode on the same day must deposit fee in the nearest branch of State Bank of India latest by next two working days i.e. up to 26/03/2013  failing which their candidature will not be considered and no query / correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

2. The  application  for  the  above  Entrance  Examination  will  be  considered  only  after confirmation of payment of fee from the concerned Branch of designated Bank to the Account holding Branch of AIIMS.

3.   Incomplete applications or applications not supported by payment shall be rejected and no claim shall be entertained.

The admissions to the MBBS course in Six AIIMS like Institutions will be through the same entrance examination to be conducted for admission to MBBS course in AIIMS New Delhi.

Candidates desirous of being considered for admission to any of the six institutions apart from AIIMS New Delhi should indicate their preference in the application itself.  However allotment will be done on the basis of merit-cum-choice of the candidate.
