GATE 2015 Syllabus: Biotechnology (BT)

ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS
Linear Algebra: Matrices and determinants, Systems of linear equations, Eigen values and Eigen vectors.
Calculus: Limit, continuity and differentiability, Partial derivatives, Maxima and minima, Sequences and series, Test for convergence, Fourier Series.
Differential Equations: Linear and nonlinear first order ODEs, higher order ODEs with constant coefficients, Cauchy’s and Euler’s equations,Laplace transforms, PDE- Laplace, heat and wave equations.

GATE 2015: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur is Organizing Authority for GATE 2015: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. The IIT Kanpur will conduct Computer Based Examination (CBT), prepared GATE 2015 Percentile Score and declare result as per GATE 2015 Schedule.

Who are eligible to write GATE Computer Based Test (CBT)?

GATE i.e. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is Computer Based Test (CBT) for admission into Masters degree equivalent (M.E. / M.Tech etc) and Ph.D Research programmes in Engineering, Sciences and Technology disciplines. Candidates who have qualification in any of the following study discipline (Engineering/Technology/Science) are eligible to apply for GATE-Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering:

GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering jointly administered by Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) for admission into Post Graduate Programmes offered by these institutes in Engineering, Technology, Applied Sciences. GATE Score is also eligibility criteria for award of Scholarships / Fellowships offered by Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) of Government of India. Besides, many Public Sector Units (PSUs) also requires GATE score for short listing of candidates for recruitment.
