a) First preference will be given to B.Tech./ BE in Electrical/ Electronics Engg or equivalent with minimum 55% marks in qualifying degree exam. Or CGPA of 6.25 on 10 point scale and valid GATE Score . However, in the case of SC/ST candidates, 50% marks in qualifying exam. Or CGPA of 5.75 on 10 point scale with valid GATE Score is required.

b) Second preference will be given to B.Tech./BE in Electrical/Electronics Engg. with minimum percentage of marks in qualifying degree exam. As mentioned at (a) above, without GATE Score.





Note: For sponsored candidates, the minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying degree examination is 55% or CGPA of 6.25 on 10 point scale (50% marks or CGPA of 5.75 on 10 point scale in case of SC/ST candidates).
The sponsored candidates should possess minimum 2 years experience in the organization/ organization(s) of the types specified on the last date of receipt of application out of which at least one year continuous experience should be as regular employee in the sponsoring organization.

For Ph.D. :
Computer Engg.: M.Tech. in Computer Engg./ Computer Science/ information Technology with minimum 70% marks in qualifying exam. Or 7.75 CGPA on 10 point scale.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR CANDIDATES

Admission to Three Year L.L.B Course 2008-09 in the Government Law Colleges in Kerala

Eligibility
Nativity: Candidate should be an Indian citizen of Kerala origin.
(a) Candidate seeking admission to the course should be a Graduate in any faculty of any University in Kerala or of any other Universities, recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto.
(b) A candidate who has passed the Bachelor’s Degree examination with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate (ie. 40% marks for all the parts of the Degree Examinations taken together) shall alone be eligible for admission to the 3 year LL.B course. However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled castes/Scheduled Tribes need only a pass in the qualifying examination with 35% marks.
(c) Candidates who are appearing / appeared for the qualifying examination (regular examination of 2007-08 academic year) are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination. Such candidates become eligible for admission only if they produce the Provisional / Degree certificate of the qualifying examination and the mark lists of all parts of the qualifying examination at the time of Centralised Allotment Process.
Age: There is no upper age limit for admission to the 3 year LL.B. Course.
How to apply
(i)There will be separate Application form for General and SC/ST candidates. The Application form and Prospectus can be downloaded from the Official website of the Commissioner for entrance Examinations”cee-kerala.org.”
(ii) Application forms duly filled in together with the documents, should reach the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, Santhi Nagar, Thiruvananthapuaram 695001, before the time and date specified by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.





Application should be accompanied by a Demand Draft for Rs 600/- for General Candidates and Rs 300/- for SC/ST candidates and those eligible for SC/ST benefits drawn on a Nationalized Bank, in favour of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Late or defective applications will not be considered under any circumstances.

Note

Admission to the course shall be done through a Centralised Allotment Process to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations at notified Centers. Information regarding the time, date and place of the Centralised Allotment Process will be notified by the Commissioner, through print and electronic media, after publication of results.
