MBA Program Session 2009-10

Specializations in Power, Operation & IT Management
Eligibility: First class Engineering graduates (60% marks or 6.75 CGPA) with Valid CAT score.

In case of final year students awaiting their result, the marks up to VII semester would be taken into account for admission to the MBA program.

Final result of the qualifying exam should be submitted by 31st August 2009 failing which the admission stand cancelled automatically.
Application procedure: Candidates desirous of seeking admission to MBA may download the application form from the institute’s website. Duly filled-in application form should be submitted to Director / Principal, YMCA Institute of Engineering, Faridabad with a Bank Draft of Rs.600/- (Rs.150/- for SC/ST Candidates) drawn in favour of Director/Principal, YMCA Institute of Engineering, Faridabad (Haryana) latest by 17th April, 2009

1. Applications on the prescribed form are invited for AICTE approved FULL TIME M.TECH COURSES in Comp. Engg., Mech. Engg. (Manufacturing & Automation Tech.) and Elect. Engg. (Power System & Drives) for 18 Seats each (Gen=10, Sponsored=5, SC/ST=3)

2. Applications are also invited for Ph.D PROGRAMME in Comp. Engg., Mechanical Engg. & Electrical / Electronics Engg. with 2 seats each.

Eligibility: Computer Engg. (M.Tech.):
a) First preference will be given to candidates having B.Tech./ BE in Computer Engg./ Computer Sc. & Engg./Computer Technology/ Information Technology or equivalent/ MCA with minimum 55% marks in qualifying degree exam. Or CGPA of 6.25 on 10 point scale and valid GATE Score in Computer Engg. However, in the case of SC/ST candidates, 50% marks in qualifying exam. Or CGPA of 5.75 on 10 point scale is required.

b) Second preference will be given to B.Tech./ BE in Electronics Engg./Elect.Engg. M.Sc. Computer/ M.Sc. Electronics, M.Sc. IT/ M.Sc. Software with minimum %age of marks as mentioned at (a) above and valid GATE Score in Computer Engg.

(c ) Third preference will to to B.Tech./BE in Electronics Engg., Elect. Engg./ M.Sc. Computer/ M.Sc. Electronics, M.Sc.IT/ M.Sc. Software, M.Sc. Maths, M.Sc. Statistics and M.Sc. Physics with minimum %age of marks as mentioned at (a) above and valid GATE Score in respective branches.

(d) Fourth preference will go to B.Tech./ BE in Computer Engg./Computer Sc. & Engg./Computer Technology/ Information Technology/ MCA/ Electronics Engg./ Electrical Engg./ M.Sc. Computer, M.Sc. Electronics, M.Sc. IT/ M.Sc. Software/ M.Sc. Maths, M.Sc. Statistics and M.Sc. Physics with minimum %age of marks as mentioned at (a) above but without GATE Score.

Mechanical Engineering (M.Tech.):

a) First preference will be given to B.Tech./ BE in Mech. Engg./ Production Engg./Automobile Engg. or equivalent with minimum 55% marks in qualifying degree exam. Or CGPA of 6.25 on 10 point scale with valid GATE Score. However, in the case of SC/ST candidates, 50% marks in qualifying exam. Or CGPA of 5.75 on 10 point scale with valid GATE Score is required.

b) Second preference will be given to B.Tech./BE in above disciplines with minimum %age of marks in qualifying exam as mentioned at (a) above, without GATE Score.

Electrical Engineering (M.Tech):

a) First preference will be given to B.Tech./ BE in Electrical/ Electronics Engg or equivalent with minimum 55% marks in qualifying degree exam. Or CGPA of 6.25 on 10 point scale and valid GATE Score . However, in the case of SC/ST candidates, 50% marks in qualifying exam. Or CGPA of 5.75 on 10 point scale with valid GATE Score is required.

b) Second preference will be given to B.Tech./BE in Electrical/Electronics Engg. with minimum percentage of marks in qualifying degree exam. As mentioned at (a) above, without GATE Score.





Note: For sponsored candidates, the minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying degree examination is 55% or CGPA of 6.25 on 10 point scale (50% marks or CGPA of 5.75 on 10 point scale in case of SC/ST candidates).
The sponsored candidates should possess minimum 2 years experience in the organization/ organization(s) of the types specified on the last date of receipt of application out of which at least one year continuous experience should be as regular employee in the sponsoring organization.

For Ph.D. :
Computer Engg.: M.Tech. in Computer Engg./ Computer Science/ information Technology with minimum 70% marks in qualifying exam. Or 7.75 CGPA on 10 point scale.

Mechanical Engg: M.Tech. in Mechanical/ Production Engg. with minimum 70% marks in qualifying exam. Or 7.75 CGPA on 10 point scale.

Electrical Engineering: M.Tech. in Electrical/ Electronics Engg./ Electronics & Communication with minimum 70% marks in qualifying exam. Or 7.75 CGPA on 10 point scale.

Application procedure: Detailed eligibility conditions for admission to above Post Graduate / Ph.D Courses are given in the prospectus for 2008-09 and the same would be available from 14.7.2008 in Institute against cash payment of Rs.1000/- and by post against Bank Draft for Rs.1050/- in favour of Director/ Principal of the Institute payable at Faridabad.
