DIPLOMA ADMISSIONS -2009

Applications are invited from candidate seeking admission to Diploma Course in the Polytechnics located in the state of Haryana for the session 2009-10.

Prospectus- cum Application along with OMR from will be available for sale from 20.05.09 to 10.06.09 up to 5.00 pm. For Diploma Engineering and from 20.05.09 to 15.06.09 up to 5.00 pm. For Diploma Engineering (Lateral entry), Diploma Management.

BASIS OF ADMISSIONS: Inter se merit of Diploma Entrance Test (DET-09) to be held on 21.06.09 (Sunday) from 10.00 am. To 12.00 Noon & 28.06.09 (Sunday for DET (Lateral Entry) from 10.00 am. To 12 Noon. Admission to Diploma Pharmacy & Diploma Management will be made on inter se merit of respective qualifying exam as per criteria mentioned in prospectus. The admission to diploma course will be made through ON LINE ON CAMPUS web based counseling conducted by HARYANA STATE COUNCELLING SOCIETY through NIC.

SUBMISSION OF OMR & APPLICATION FORM: The OMR & Application From neatly & precisely filled supported by all relevant documents should be deposited at any nearby collection centre (as mentioned at point No. 4 above ) from 20.05.09 to 10.06.09 for diploma Engg. And from 20.05.09 to 15.06.09 for diploma Eng. (Lateral Entry), Diploma Pharmacy & Diploma Management.

Diploma Prospectus along with Application & OMR Forms for all Diploma Courses is available on the cost of Rs.500/- for general category & Rs.125/- for all reserved categories of Haryana State (SC/BCA/BCB/PH/ESM/FF/HGST/KM/Girls).

Note: Prospectus for all reserved categories of Haryana will only be provided on the production of attested photocopy of relevant certificate.

National Institute of Technology - Kurukshetra

Applications on prescribed pro forma are invited for admission to Ph.D (Full–time/Part–time) programmes in (A) Engineering Departments (Civil, Computer, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering & Management, (B) Sciences (Chemistry, Physics & Mathematics) and (C) Humanities & Social Sciences.

Eligibility: i) Engineering Stream:

(a) Master’s degree (M.Tech./ M.E/ M.S.) or equivalent in appropriate discipline with a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate (of all the years/ semesters of the course), or equivalent CGPA, preceded by a Bachelor’s degree in Engg./Tech. Or

(b) Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech./ B.E.) in appropriate discipline, or equivalent,
with a minimum of 90% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters of the course), or equivalent CGPA. Such a candidate has to clear compulsorily at least four theory courses of M. Tech. in relevant discipline, as decided by the DRC. Or

(c) Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech./ B.E.) in appropriate discipline, or equivalent, with a minimum of 70% marks in aggregate ( of all the years/ semesters of the course), or equivalent CGPA, and a minimum of 15 years of regular service in Govt. Organizations or teaching institutes of degree level. Such a candidate has to clear compulsorily at least four theory courses of M. Tech. in relevant discipline, as decided by the DRC.

ii) Sciences/Mathematics Stream

Master’s degree (M.Sc. /M.A.) in the appropriate discipline, or equivalent, with a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters of the course), or equivalent CGPA.

iii) Humanities & Social Sciences Stream

Master’s degree (M.A.) in the appropriate discipline, or equivalent, with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters of the course), or equivalent CGPA.
Application procedure: Prospectus and form can be downloaded from the Institute Website: www.nitkkr.ac.in . The applicants are required to attach a bank draft of Rs. 200/- in favour of Director, NIT, Kurukshetra payable at SBI, Kurukshetra along with their application.

Prospectus-cum Application Forms can be obtained in person from 25.5.2009 to 30.6.2009 at University Sale Counters BPSMV, Khanpur Kalan, Haryana Bhavan, Delhi, Panchayat Bhawan, Chandigarh, D.N. College, Hisar, S.D. College, Ambala Cantt. against cash payment.

The Prospectus-cum-Application Form can also be obtained by post upto 15.6.2009 from the Registrar, BPS Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan, by sending a DD of Rs. 300/- for General category and Rs. 115/- for SC/ST/BC of Haryana residents only in favour of Registrar, BPS Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan payable at Punjab National Bank Branch, Khanpur Kalan (Code 2303).

The Prospectus-cum Application Forms can also be downloaded from the University's website. Such application(s) must be sent to the concerned Chairperson/Principal of the Dept/College of the University along with DD of Rs. 250/- for General Category and Rs. 65/- for SC/ST/BC categories of Haryana. Applications received after due date will not be considered.
