DTU Admission 2014-15: M Tech and Ph D Programmes

The Delhi Technological University (DTU) has been established by Government of Delhi by upgrading the erstwhile Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) vide act 6 of 2009. DTU is committed to attract best of minds for its faculty and students to ensure high academic standards and encourage research and innovation in areas of relevance to the industry and society.


Applications are invited for admission to the following Post Graduate and Doctoral Programs of the University for the session 2014-15

M. Tech Programs

Application forms for admission to 22 M Tech Programmes in various departments of the University will be filled Online w.e.f. 5 May 2014 through admission website www.dtuadmissions.nic.in.

The Schedule, educational qualification required, Seat Matrix, Registration for M. Tech. Admission 2014-15 are available on website. Separate registration must be done for each department. However, one requisition is sufficient for all programs of a department. The reservation for SC/ ST / OBC / Persons with Disability category will be as per the approved policy of the Government of Delhi.

Ph D Programmes

Ph D Programs (Full Time / Part Time / Sponsored) are offered in the following academic departments:
Civil Engineering & Environmental Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Mechanical & Production Engineering / Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Polymer Science & Chemical Technology / Biotechnology Engineering Applied Chemistry / Applied Mathematics / Applied Physics / Management and Humanities.

The applicants short listed for Ph D Program shall be required to appear in the Entrance Examination and those applicants who will qualify in the entrance examination will be allowed to appear in the Interview. No TA/DA is admissible for interview. Exampetion from appearance in the entrance examination shall be as per the Ph.D. Ordinance of the University, the details of which are available on the website www.dce.edu

GATE / NET Qualified candidates having UGC-CSIR/DBT Scholarship can also be considered for admission to full-time Ph.D Programs.

SRM University Entrance Examination 2011 Eligibility Criteria

1.For B.Tech, aggregate of 60% is required in PCM combination  at Class XII with 50% marks individually.For Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Food & Process Engineering, Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering:  60% aggregate in Mathematics or Biology, Physics and Chemistry and minimum of 50% individually.
2.For BArch.,Pass in Class XII having aggregate of 60% with English and Mathematics as subjects of study and a minimum score of 40% in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).
3.For PG courses,minimum of 60% is required in the qualifying exam.

Applications on prescribed pro forma are invited for admission to Ph.D (Full–time/Part–time) programmes in (A) Engineering Departments (Civil, Computer, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering & Management, (B) Sciences (Chemistry, Physics & Mathematics) and (C) Humanities & Social Sciences.

Eligibility: i) Engineering Stream:

(a) Master’s degree (M.Tech./ M.E/ M.S.) or equivalent in appropriate discipline with a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate (of all the years/ semesters of the course), or equivalent CGPA, preceded by a Bachelor’s degree in Engg./Tech. Or

(b) Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech./ B.E.) in appropriate discipline, or equivalent,
with a minimum of 90% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters of the course), or equivalent CGPA. Such a candidate has to clear compulsorily at least four theory courses of M. Tech. in relevant discipline, as decided by the DRC. Or

(c) Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech./ B.E.) in appropriate discipline, or equivalent, with a minimum of 70% marks in aggregate ( of all the years/ semesters of the course), or equivalent CGPA, and a minimum of 15 years of regular service in Govt. Organizations or teaching institutes of degree level. Such a candidate has to clear compulsorily at least four theory courses of M. Tech. in relevant discipline, as decided by the DRC.

ii) Sciences/Mathematics Stream

Master’s degree (M.Sc. /M.A.) in the appropriate discipline, or equivalent, with a minimum of 65% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters of the course), or equivalent CGPA.

iii) Humanities & Social Sciences Stream

Master’s degree (M.A.) in the appropriate discipline, or equivalent, with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters of the course), or equivalent CGPA.
Application procedure: Prospectus and form can be downloaded from the Institute Website: www.nitkkr.ac.in . The applicants are required to attach a bank draft of Rs. 200/- in favour of Director, NIT, Kurukshetra payable at SBI, Kurukshetra along with their application.

Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha

Applications are invited for admission into various courses of the University during the academic year 2009 - 2010. Prescribed application forms along with prospectus can be obtained from the University in person on payment of Rs.100/- through D.D. and by post on payment of Rs. 150/- by way of DD. drawn in flavour of the Registrar from any nationalized Bank payable at Tirupati or by downloading from the University web site

The downloaded filled in applications should be submitted along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 100/- drawn in favour of Registrar, R.S. University, Tirupati.

The last date to receive the filled in applications is 10.06.2009 for all courses . For Kasmiri migrants, the last date for receipt of filled in applications is 20-06-2009. Reservation for SCs, STs, OBC`s etc., will be made applicable for admission into University Courses as per the existing rules of Government of India.
