Eligibility: For College of Veterinary Science: The minimum qualifications for admission to Ph.D. programme in the College of Vety. Science, College of Fisheries and PGIVER shall be a Master’s level degree in the respective discipline with a minimum OCPA of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent and with a minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an OGPA of 2.00/4.00 or equivalent in the B.V.Sc. & A.H. or equivalent programme.

For PGIVER:

A Master's level degree in the respective discipline with a minimum OCPA of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent and with a
minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an OGPA of 2.00/4.00 or equivalent in the B.V.Sc. & A.H or B.Sc. (Biotechnology/ Medical) or B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology and Molecular Genetics or equivalent programme .

For Aquaculture:

A Masters level degree in aquaculture with a minimum OCPA of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent and with a minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an OGPA Of 2.00/4.00 or equivalent in the B.F.Sc. programme.

National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM)





Post Graduate Diploma in (Financial) Management - two-year full time Program for senior executives from the Government, public and the private corporate sector (2010 - 2012)

Eligibility: 1. Officers at middle / senior level working with the Central or State Governments, Public Enterprises and autonomous organizations belonging to State / CentralGovernment. Or

Similar participants from foreign countries Or

NIFM trainee officers of Central Finance and Accounts Services

2. All participants must have completed Graduation or a degree equivalent thereto from an Indian University / Institutions recognized by Association of Indian Universities.

3. Minimum percentage of marks at graduation level should be 50%. Scoring higher percentages at higher levels such as post-graduation would not relax the minimum percentage requirement at graduation level.

4. The upper age limit for all participants would be 50 years on the date of commencement of the program.

5. Sponsorship from the employer Government / organization.

Application procedure: The application complete in all respects may be sent to NIFM through the sponsoring department/ organization in the prescribed format latest by 31-03-2010.

The candidates may send an advance copy to NIFM pending processing by their department.

Foreign Government nominees may send advance copy of the application along with a copy of their graduation degree if obtained from a University outside India to NIFM in the prescribed format on or before 26-02-2010. The foreign sponsorgovernment(s) would remit / deposit the fee before commencement of the Program.

Selection Process : Applications, completed in all respects and received by the last date would be short listed by the Institute, and the short listed candidates would be intimated through their sponsors.

Participants finally admitted to the program would be intimated latest by first week of April 2010 to enable them to get relieved from their respective organizations. The list of candidates finally admitted to the program would also be available on the official website of NIFM and the admitted candidates would be requested to join on a date notified by the Institute. All supporting documents / testimonials in original would be required at the time of final admission to the program.

Fulfilling merely the eligibility criteria would not entitle the participant for admission to the program.

Decision of NIFM regarding admission of the candidates to the program would be final.

The selection criteria for the sponsored foreign participants would be decided separately by the Institute.

Research Areas

Life Sciences: Infectious and non-infectious diseases, bioinformatics, developmental biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, life-history evolution, immunology, circadian biology, animal behaviour, behavioural ecology, evolutionary genetics, experimental evolution, chronobiology, behavior.

Material Sciences: Including Nano Sciences, energy and green materials.

Eligibility: Academic requirements: Students who have secured not less than 80% (science and maths subjects only) in their 10th , 12th(10 +2) and not less than first class in graduation and post graduation(if applicable).

Only students presently studying in I and II year of B.Sc., I, II and III year of B.E / B.Tech. / B.V.Sc./ MBBS / B.Pharm., I year of M.Sc. and I - IV year of Integrated M.Sc with the above mentioned academic requirements should apply.

The students selected under this programme are placed with scientists at the Centre or elsewhere in India, for 2 months with a stipend of Rs. 5000 /- p.m and travel support as per Govt. of India norms.

Indian Institute of Forest Management





Admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Forest Management - 2010
Eligibility: Applicants should have (a) at least a three-years bachelor’s degree in any discipline obtained through the 10+2+3 system or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PD) or equivalent CGPA.

Candidates appearing for the final year graduation examination are also eligible to apply provided they complete it before June 30, 2010 and fulfill the eligibility criteria as set by IIFM.
Application procedure: In addition to CAT, the candidates should fill up a separate application form for admission to PGDFM. This form can be obtained either personally or by post by sending a Demand Draft of Rs 900/- (Rs 450/- for SC / ST) drawn in favour of "Director, Indian Institute of Forest Management" payable at Bhopal.

Alternatively, the form can be downloaded from the website and the filled in hardcopy of the form along with the Draft for the specified amount should be sent to IIFM. Admission Procedure : All applicants desirous of seeking admission in PGDFM at IIFM, Bhopal have to appear for Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) between 28th November to 07th December 2009 by responding to their notification published in leading national dailies dated 30th August 2009.

IIFM will use the CAT score only for short-listing the candidates for two year full time post graduate programme. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of CAT score, will be called for Group Discussion and Interview at IIFM, Bhopal during February/March 2010.
