Master of Computer Application Entrance (MCA) and Management Entrance Test (MET) 2011

Courses Offered

Admission to 2 years (Four Semester) MBA, and allied courses (Full Time) , 3 years (Six Semesters) MBA and Allied Courses (Part Time) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) (Full Time).


Eligibility Criteria

The Candidates should be an Indian National.

Educational Qualifications:

MBA & ALLIED COURSES:
A candidate seeking admission to MBA and Allied Courses should be a Graduate or post Graduate with at least 50% marks (For example 750 marks obtained out of 1500 marks, rounding of marks or percentage will not be allowed) and 40% marks (For example 600 marks obtained out of 1500 marks, rounding of marks or percentage will not be allowed) in case of SC, ST, OBC (excluding Creamy Layer) category of Madhya Pradesh in aggregate of any UGC/ AICTE approved Indian University or from a foreign University recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) or institute recognized by the concerned University as equivalent thereto.

The Bachelor's degree must be of minimum three years duration after passing Higher Secondary (10+2) examination of (10+2) system or
equivalent.

MCA COURSE:
A candidate seeking admission to MCA Course should be a Graduate of any UGC/AICTE approved Indian University or from a foreign University recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) or institute recognized by the concerned University as equivalent thereto. The Bachelor's degree must be of minimum three years duration in any discipline with Mathematics as compulsory or an additional subject at either Higher Secondary (10+2) or at Graduation level.

Candidates with Bachelor of Computer Application (B.C.A.) degree of minimum three years duration are also eligible for admission.

NOTE: Candidates in the Final year of above degree examination can also appear in the MET-2011 test/ PreMCA-2011 test on provisional basis. But such a candidate shall have to produce the original certificate of having passed/mark sheet of the final year of the degree examination at the time of Counselling from the concerned University.

Application Procedure

Online Submission of Application Form: Candidates can submit only Online Application Form from 21.12.2010 to 12.01.2010 either through website www.vyapam.nic.in or www.mponline.gov.in. Candidates shall have to pay fees as mentioned below either through cash at authorized kiosks of MP online or Credit Card / Debit Card or Net Banking.

Pre MCA: Rs.700/- + 50/- online service charge
MET: Rs.1300/- + 50/- online service charge
Pre MCA + MET (Both): Rs.1500/- + 50/- online service charge

This along with the filled in application form is to be sent to the address given below. Applications submitted without the details of the Demand Draft will not be accepted.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks for General Category and 45% for Reserved Category OR Bachelor's degree with 3 years of supervisory/ managerial/ professional experience, or Professional Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Medicine/ Architecture/ Law/ Pharmacy; OR Professional Qualifications in Accountancy/ Cost and Works Accountancy/ Company Secretaryship etc. OR Masters Degree in any subject.

2. Clearance of OPENMAT conducted by IGNOU.
Candidates who have successfully cleared the entrance test for admission into Management Programme conducted by the institutions like CAT, MAT and State Level tests need not appear in OPENMAT. The cut off percentage for admission of these candidates will be decided by the university.

3. Non-graduates (10+2 or equivalent) with six years of Managerial/ supervisory/ professional experience are eligible for taking admission into Diploma in Management only after clearing the entrance test.

For Post Graduate Certificate in Oral Implantology (PGCOI), Post Graduate Certificate in Endodontics (PGCE)

Registered BDS Doctors after completion of internship.
The degree should be recognized by the Dental Council of India.

Application Procedure

Filled in form for Entrance Test, “0PENMAT-XXIX/OPENDEN-lll” must reach the Registrar (SED), IGNOU, New Delhi-110068 by Registered Post/Speed Post on or before Monday, January 10, 2011.

Walk in Admission (Management Programme Only)
Candidates who qualify entrance test can submit the Registration Form (Form-2) , which is available in the “Student Handbook & Prospectus" along with the hall ticket of the entrance test, to the respective Regional Centre along with the required fee on any day after the receipt of result card for admission cycle starting from July, 2011.

Student Handbook & Prospectus for Management Programme & Openden. Programmes - 2011 can be obtained from the Registrar (SRD), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi- 110068 and from all the Regional Centres of IGNOU whose addresses are given below, by sending a sum of Rs.550/- through a Demand Draft/IPO in favor of IGNOU payable at New Delhi/city of concerned Regional Centre or by paying Rs.500/- in cash at the respective sale counters. Please write your name and address on the back of the DD/IPO.
