Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar invites application for admission to Ph.D. Programmes in the following categories.

Eligibility Criteria

PhD (Engineering):

60% marks or 6.75 CGPA in M. Tech/M.E with consistently good academic record OR B.Tech/B.E with 70% or 7.5 CGPA with valid GATE Score (Very Good) and consistently good academic record.

PhD (Science):

1st class in M.Sc./ M. Tech with consistently good academic record (equivalent CGPA) and valid GATE/NET CSIR/ UGC score.

PhD (HSS):

55% marks or equivalent CGPA in Master degree with UGC/NET score OR M. Phil degree.

Application form, downloadable from http://www.iitbbs.ac.in , should be sent to Assistant Registrar (A&E), IIT Bhubaneswar, Samantapuri, Bhubaneswar, Orissa – 751013 along with a Demand Draft of Rs.200/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of "IIT Bhubaneswar" on any nationalized bank payable at Bhubaneswar.

Please superscribe ‘Application for Admission to PhD programme ’ on the envelope. Application form may also be obtained from the Academic Section, IIT Bhubaneswar against a demand draft on every working day.

Admission to Master of Business Economics and Finance Control

Applications are invite for admission to the following programmes

  • Two year Master of Business Economics (MBE)
  • Two Year Master of Finance and Control (MFC)

Eligibility

Graduate (Under10+2+3) in any discipline, with at least 50% marks from the University of Delhi or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto with Maths/ Business Maths at class XII level. Reservation of seats as per the University rules. Candidates appearing for the Final year of Bachelor Degree in 2012 can also apply.

The Admission Brochure and Form are available between 10.00 am. and 3.00 p.m. (Mon to Fri) from Room No. 229, Arts Faculty Building, South Campus on payment of Rs.1700/- (Rs.800/- for SC / ST Candidates) for two programmes and Rs.1000/- one programme (Rs.500/- for SC / ST Candidates).

The Admission Brochure and Form can be requested by post by sending a Demand Draft in favour of 'Director, University of Delhi South Campus" payable at New Delhi of Rs. 1800/- Rs.900/- for SC / ST Candidates) for two programmes and Rs.1000/- one programme (Rs.600/- for SC / ST Candidates).

The filled in application form should be mailed lo The Admission Coordinator, Room No. 229, Arts Faculty Building, University of Delhi South Campus, Benito Juarez Road, New Delhi- 110021 so as to reach by 05.12.2011.

Ignou announces dates for online courses

NEW DELHI: Indira Gandhi National Open University ( Ignou) New Delhi has announced the admission dates for three of its online programmes on Friday.

These programs are offered under the chair for sustainable development are an appreciation programme on sustainable management of Ganga- a scientific approach (APSMG), a leadership programme on nutrition security and sustainable development (LPNSSD) and a leadership programme on Himalayan ecosystems ( LPHECO). The APSMG course is for a minimum duration of one and half months and can stretch upto eight months. The last date for submission of application forms is October 15, 2011.
