CUCET 2012  Examination Fees


  • For General / OBC Candidates - Rs 300 if applying Online or Rs 250 if applying offline
  • For SC / ST Candidates - Rs 250 if applying Online or Rs 200 if applying offline

CUCET 2012 Syllabus and Question Paper Pattern


For all integrated Programmes, subject related questions will be equal to the 12th Std (CBSE Board). For postgraduate Programmes, it will be based on undergraduate syllabus. A common paper will be administered for all Programmes on general knowledge & awareness.

Admission Process


Admission to different Central Universities shall be based on following common criteria as stated in the FAQ section of CUCET Website
1. Whether you have applied for that particular Programme in that University as a first choice. (If left over seats are there, candidates with second choice may also be considered).
2. Your ranking in the CUCET for that programme (Higher the Score, better are your chances)
3. Meeting the eligibility criteria prescribed by the University.
If, you meet these criteria, you will be called for counselling by the University for Admission.

CUCET 2012 Exam Pattern

All M.Sc. programmes, Non – Language, M.A. programmes, M. Arch, M.Tech & M.Com
Part A = 35 questions (all to be answered)
Part A - The question paper will be consisting of General Knowledge and Awareness.
Part B = 65 questions ( all to be answered)
Part B - The questions will be from subject specific paper
The time given is 120 minutes

MBA programme
100 multiple choice questions to be answered covering English, Mathematics, logical reasoning etc.,
The time given is 120 minutes.
INTEGRATED M. PHIL / PH.D & PH.D programmes
100 Multiple choice questions to be answered in the relevant subject.
The time given is 120 minutes.

For all Integrated M.Sc. programmes and Integrated Law programme, The questions will be at the level of CBSE 12th standard.

For all PG programmes, it will be based on the undergraduate study of a Indian University.

M.phil / Ph.D. & Ph. D, it will be based on the PG level study of a Indian University.

IITs reveal JEE Cut-Off Marks

According to different sources as received news in my gmail email, the IITs reveal the cut-off marks

for admission on the basis of JEE – Joint Entrance Examination. This happens first time in the history of IIT JEE in near decades that student will know minimum cut-off marks in all three subjects, physics, chemistry and mathematics as well as aggregate marks in IIT JEE.

The minimum cut-off marks for IIT JEE 2012 in subjects are

IIT JEE 2012 General Category Candidates 10%
IIT JEE 2012 OBC Category Candidates 9%
IIT JEE 2012 SC, ST and PD Category Candidates 5%

The aggregate cut-off for General Category is 35%, OBC 31.5%, SC, ST & PD 17.5%
