Distance Education Programme in
B.Sc. (IT) & M.Sc. (IT) Degrees:
BSc.(IT) : (6 Semesters or 3 - Years)
M.SC. (IT): (4 Semesters or 2 - Years)
Eligibility: For B.Sc. (IT)
I Semester: (10+2) or (10th + 3 - Year Polytechnic Diploma) or (10th + Any 2 - year formal study certificate) or (10th + 5 - Years job experience with an Entrance Test) (BSIT - ET)
II Semester: (10+2) + 6 - months IT- Certificate or 1-year IT-experience or 1-year Hardware Course or (10th + 3 - Year Polytechnic Diploma with a Computer course) or Completion of 1st year of B.Sc. (C,Sc)/BCA/BCM, etc. (Lateral Entry)
III Semester: 3-years Polytechnic Diploma in (IT/C.Sc.) or (10+2) + 2-semesters of DNIIT or 2 - semesters of DIT from any University or (10th + Polytechnic Diploma) in Electronics stream / (10+2) + Computer Courses + 3 - years of 1T-professional experience or IT-teaching experience) with Bridge Course (BSIT-BC) (Lateral Entry)
IV Semester: (10+2) + MCSE/ MCSD/ DOEACC 'A' level or [(10+2) + 3-Semesters of DNIIT or equivalent qualification] with Back-up Courses (BSIT - BUC) (Lateral Entry)
For M.Sc. (IT):
I Semester: B.Sc.(C.Sc) / B.Sc. (IT)/ BCA/ BE or Graduation in any discipline with 1-year IT -Course Certificate or Graduates from Non-C.Sc. disciplines with Foundation Course (MSIT-FC)
II Semester: Graduation + 4- Semesters of DNIIT or 2-years Advanced Diploma from any recognized Organisation. (Lateral Entry)
III Semester: Graduation + 1 - Year PGDCA/PGDIT from any University or DOEACC 'A' Certificate or MCA or B.E. (C.Sc./I.Sc.) or Graduation + GNIIT or equivalent qualification /1 year Advanced Diploma from C-DAC from C-DAC / MCSE / MCSD/ PGDST from CIST / PGDEDPCM from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan or Graduation + 3 - Years professional IT-experience / IT - teaching experience with Bridge Course (MSIT-BC) (Lateral Entry)
