Diploma & Certificate Course for Disable Persons

Applications are invited in the prescribed proforma for admission in the following courses for the academic session 2008-09 (Approved by Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi), to be conducted at Composite Regional Centre for Persons with Disabilities, Sundernagar Distt. Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.
Diploma in Education Special Education (Visual Impairment):
a) Duration of the course: Two Years
b) Seats: 25 (Twenty Five)
c) Age limit: 17 years (Minimum)
d)Eligibility: 10+2 Examination
e) Course fee: Rs. 5000/-per annum & caution money of Rs.1000/-(Refundable)

Certificate Course in Prosthetic & Orthotic (CPO)
a) Duration of the course : One Year
b) Seats: 25 (Twenty Five)
c) Age limit: 17 years (Minimum)
d)Eligibility: Certificate from ITI in any of the trades of Fitter/ Carpenter/Leather or 10th class pass with two-years practical experience in a recognized P&O workshop/centre under P&O professional.
e)Course fee: Rs. 5000/- and caution money of Rs. 1000/- (Refundable).
General Conditions: i) Reservations as per Central Government rules, ii) Hostel facility is not available. However, the selected candidates will be provided assistance in finding out the suitable accommodation in the nearby areas. iii) Candidates already employed in Govt./ Non-Govt. Organizations will be preferred.
Interested and eligible candidates may apply in plain white paper in the following format: Name of the Course applied for; Name of the Candidate (in block letters); Name of the Father/Guardian; Date of birth & Age; Sex; Category (General/SC/ST/OBC); Permanent address (along with Phone No.); Disability (if any). Qualifications: a) Academic; b) Professional/Technical; Experience and other relevant information with the declaration "Certified that the above particulars are true to the best of my knowledge and belief and if any information is found to be incorrect at any stage, my candidature may be cancelled."
Application duly completed with attested copies of educational and other related documents along with two recent passport size photographs should reach the Officer Incharge, Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Sundemagar, Distt. Mandi (H.P.) on or before 16th July 08 through Post/by hand. Incomplete applications and applications received after due date shall summarily be rejected.
Note: The courses will commence only when the required number of candidates are available. Selection shall be on the basis of Entrance test/Interview. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Test/ Interview
