IGNOU in collaboration with The Institute of Company Secretaryship of India (ICSI) and Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) invites applications for admission to January 2009 session in the following disciplines.:

A) Exclusively for ICSI Students:

1. B.Com with Major in Corporate Affairs and Administration (B.Com CA &A) : This programme consists of courses of Foundation Programme and Executive Programme of Company Secretaryship of ICSI. Students can simultaneously study B.Com (CA&A) Along with Company Secretaryship programme. On completing ICSI Foundation and Executive Programmes, students get exemption to all those courses in B.Com (CA&A).

Duration: Minimum 3 Years and Maximum 6 years. Medium of Instruction: English and Hindi. Fee: Rs. 4,000 consolidated. .

2. Master of Commerce in Business Policy and Corporate Governance (M.Com BP&CG): This programme consists of the courses of Company Secretaryship Professional Programme offered by ICSI. Students can simultaneously study this M.Com along with ICSI Professional Programme. On successful completion of ICSI Professional Programme, students get exemption to all those courses in M.Com (BP & CG).

Duration: 2 Years and maximum 5 years. Medium of Instruction: English Fee: Rs.5,000 consolidated.

Exclusively for ICWAI Students:

1) B.Com with Major in Financial and Cost Accounting (B.Com F & CA): This programme consists of all courses of Foundation and Intermediate Course of ICWAI. Students can simultaneously study B.Com (F & CA) along with ICWAI. On completing ICWAI intermediate, students get exemption to all those course in B.Com (F & CA).

Duration: Minimum 3Years and Maximum 6 years. Medium of Instruction: English and Hindi. Fee: Rs.4,000 consolidated.

2) Master of Commerce in Management Accounting & Financing Strategies (M.Com MA & FS): This programme consists of ICWAI Final Courses. Students can simultaneously study M.Com (MA & FS) along with ICWAI. On successful completion of ICWAI Final, students get exemption to all those courses in M.Com (MA& FS).

Duration: 2Years and maximum 5years. Medium of Instruction: English Fee: Rs.5,000 consolidated.


Eligibility: A) For Exclusively for ICSI Students

1. (I) 10+2 or its equivalent and (ii) Registration in Company Secretaryship Foundation Programme.

2. (i) Graduate in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute, and (ii) Passed in Company Secretaryship Executive Programme.

B. Exclusively for ICWAI Students:

1. (i) 10+2 or its equivalent and (ii) Registration in ICWAI Foundation course

2. (i) Graduate in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute and (ii) Passed in ICWAI Intermediate course.
Application procedure: The Student Handbook and Prospectus is available on website at http://www.ignou.ac.in . The application form can be downloaded from the website and the filled in form to be submitted to the Regional Director Concerned on or before the last date, i.e. 15th December, 2008. In such a case, candidates are required to pay an additional amount of Rs. 400/- by way of a separate Demand Draft drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at the city where the Admission Form is being submitted.

A printed copy of the Student Handbook & Prospectus would be sent to such candidates separately.

The Student Handbook and Prospectus can be obtained from 20th November, 2008 from all the Regional Centres of IGNOU, or from the Registrar, SR&E Division, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068, in person on payment of Rs. 400 in cash or through post by sending and IPO or Demand Draft of Rs.450/- drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at the city of the Regional Centre or New Delhi, as the case may be.
