Sikh Religion Examination (SRE-2009)
Admission to B. Tech. (Engg) and Diploma (Engg)
It is for the information of general public that 50% seats are exclusively reserved in SGPC run
engineering institutes for the candidates of Sikh minority community, who are appearing in
CET-2009 being conducted by PTU, Jalandhar, AIEEE-2009 or JET-2009 being conducted by the Punjab State Board of Technical Education, Chandigarh:
To become eligible for admission to the above institutes under this category, a candidate must obtain minimum 36% marks in SRE-2009. This examination is scheduled to be held on 16.5.09 (Saturday) in three centres at Fatehgarh Sahib, Ludhiana and Amritsar
Admission will however be made on CET/AIEEE/JET- 2009 merit. Candidates desirous of appearing in this examination must report in person, at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engg. College, Fatehgarh Sahib for verification of their Sikh identity with the following documents from 01.05.2009 to 14.05.2009 (except 07, 13th May 2009 and Sundays)
Roll number-cum-admit card for the SRE-2009 will be issued on the spot.
