The Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) is an engineering degree as well as a graduate degree program. In India, students who have passed 10+2 school leaving qualification with physics, mathematics, chemistry and english joins B.Arch degree program to further studies at college level.
The B.Arch program is approved qualification from University Grants Commission (UGC), Council of Architecture (COA), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and all other governing bodies for purpose of higher education and job in industry. The admission to B.Arch program offered on the basis of performance in entrance exams like NATA, IIT JEE Etc.
India has many colleges where B.Arch program is conducted. The course duration is 5years. During course work students are taught subjects like mathematics, building design, material and metallurgy, drawing, climatology, budgeting etc. In the end of 5 years, B.Arch degree is awarded. Further one can go for specialization in architecture, pursue a job or start own entrepreneurial venture. The scope for B.Arch graduates are enormous across the globe.
