IIT Kanpur approves new JEE for IITK UG Admission 2013

The buzz is that, the IIT Kanpur has accepted new JEE format proposed by Joint Admission Board and HRD Ministry altogether. With the JEE Limbo came to halt. With the acceptance of IIT Kanpur, it became clearer that all IITs will make Enginering/Sciences 2013 Admission in UG programs on the basis of JEE Advanced 2013.

The new JEE will be somewhat like this-


  • The JEE 2013 will be two stage test, JEE Main and JEE Advanced
  • JEE Advanced will be exclusively for IITs UG Admission in Sciences and Engineering.
  • The top 20 percentile scorer will be eligible to write JEE Advanced from the merit of JEE Main.

The more exact details about JEE 2013 will be available soon.

The questions in JEE Main and JEE Advanced will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of Class 11th and 12th standard.
