1. The Tata Defence Welfare Corps is devoted to welfare-oriented activities for war disabled soldiers, widows and wards of soldiers who die in harness. Applications are invited for the following activities:
(a) Education Grant for the academic session 2013-14 to children of soldiers who have died in harness of Army, Navy and Air Force and have passed in All Subjects. Wards of battle casualty should apply to Ceremonial & Welfare Directorate (CW-3), AG’s Branch, IHQ of MoD (Army), 206 G, South Block, DHQ PO, New Delhi – 11.
(b) Computer grant (one time) for wards of soldiers who have died in harness and pursuing graduation / professional courses.
(c) Purchase of mobility equipment such as modified auto scooters and wheel chairs for soldiers disabled in service (only Amputee / Paraplegic / Teraplegic / Quadriplegic or requires support for walking).
(d) Wheel Chair bound soldiers who were given assistance by R & W Section earlier will be given a second wheel chair after completion of 7 years of first issue.
(e) Modification of Bathroom for wheelchair bound cases only (Disabled in Service). This is a onetime assistance.
(f) Education scholarship for windows of battle causalities and physical causalities (Fatal) for pursuing graduation, post graduation and professional courses.
2. Specimen application forms are available at all Commands / Area / Sub Area HQs, Regimental Centres and Rajya Sainik Boards. Applications duly completed by the NOK / Soldiers with necessary documents for the schemes to include bank account number, IFSC Code and Full Name and Address of Bank and Name of Account Holder in respect of Army personnel should be sent to the Director, R&W, MP & PS Dte, AG’s Branch, Integrated HQ of MoD (Army), Building No. – 153, Kashmir House, Rajaji Marg, DHQ (PO), New Delhi – 110011.
Last Date for Submission of Application Form is 30 November 2014.
W.e.f. 1 May 2013 all payments are made through electronic clearance.
Application Forms received without bank details and IFSC Code will be rejected.
Applications for Air Force and Navy Personnel may be forwarded directly to IAF Benevolent Association, AFGIS Building, Subroto Park, New Delhi – 10 and Indian Naval Benevolent Association, Directorate of Non Public Funds, Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy), A 124, Sena Bhavan, New Delhi – 110011 respectively. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
