The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is administering authority for HSC and SSC Examination in the state of Maharashtra. To handle administrative activities the MBSHSE has Divisional Offices located Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nasik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, Nagpur and Ratnagiri.
Major responsibilities of board includes advising government of the state on matters related school education, providing to government & private schools, offering leadership to schools, looking after school administration, devising syllabus, conducting board examination and preparing results.
