The Indian Institute of Management Amritsar / IIM Amritsar, is the 15th addition in the IIM family. The institute was set in 2015 by MHRD, Government of India. IIM Kozhikode is the mentor IIM to IIM Amritsar. First intake of students for year 2015-17 has taken in 2015 and 44 students received degree certificates. All the students received job offers in the final placement in 2017. In fact, there were 50 job offers in total. The IIM Amritsar offers Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) on the basis of score in CAT, academic records and personality test.
Currently, the IIM Amritsar conducts academic programs from transit campus, Punjab Institute of Technology, Government Polytechnic Compound. The main campus will be located Manawala on Amritsar-Jalandhar GT Road in 60 acres of flatland.
