Aligarh Muslim University (AMU)

The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) was founded by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan in 1875. The university offers more than 300 courses in traditional and modern branches. The main campus of Aligarh Muslim University is spread over 467.6 acres of land area in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh (UP), India. Its a residential university, majority of staff and students stay inside the campus. Hostel facilities are offered to both men and women students.Courses are offered through following faculties of the University:

  •     Faculty of Commerce
  •     Faculty of Engineering and Technology
  •     Faculty of Law
  •     Faculty of Life Sciences
  •     Faculty of Medicine

  •     Faculty of Theology
  •     Faculty of International Studies
  •     Faculty of Unani Medicine

The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has established 3 Centers:
  1.     Aligarh Muslim University Malappuram Centre, Kerala
  2.     Aligarh Muslim University: Murshidabad Centre, West Bengal
  3.     Aligarh Muslim University: Kishanganj Centre, Bihar
