PGIMER Chandiagrh invites applications on the prescribed form are invited for the following courses at National Institute of Nursing Education, PGIMER, Chandigarh for the academic session 2012.
 

M.Sc. Nursing (2 years) Session starting from 16th July, 2012


Total Seats: 31 (General -13, SC- 4, ST -2, OBC- 8 & for  PGI Staff: 4 (General -2, SC/ST - 1, OBC- 1)

Speciality wise seats:  (a) Community Health Nursing - 6, (b) Mental Health (Psychiatric) 
Nursing - 3,  (c) Child Health (Pediatric) Nursing - 6,  (d) Obstetric & Gynaecological 
Nursing - 5 &  (e) Medical Surgical Nursing - 11

Qualifications:

a)   B.Sc. Nursing //B.Sc. Nursing (Post basic) or any other degree from an institution  recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and PGIMER, Chandigarh as equivalent thereto with at least 55% marks in aggregate.

b)  Should have at least one year of work experience after registration as RN & RM by 15th July of the year in bedside nursing or public health nursing or in nursing educational institutions recognized by the Indian Nursing Council after  B.Sc. Nursing (4 years) or before and after B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic).

c)  Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife as approved by I.N.C. or substitute registration in the case of male candidates fully qualified for nursing of men, women and children.

B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) (2 years) Session starting from 1st September, 2012


Total Seats : 62 (General - 24, SC - 8, ST - 4, OBC - 15) and for PGI Staff : 11 (Gen - 7,
SC - 1, ST - 1 and OBC - 2).

(a)  Must have passed 10+2 or any other examination or its equivalent thereto.

(b)  Must have passed General Nursing and Midwifery with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife qualified from a recognized institute and registered with respective State Nursing Council as approved by Indian Nursing Council
(I.N.C.) or  substitute registration in case of male candidates fully qualified for nursing of men, women and children.

B.Sc. Nursing (4 years) (only for female candidates) Session starting from 1st September, 2012


Total Seats: 93 (General-47, SC-14, ST-7 & OBC-25)

Qualifications:

(a) 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English or any other equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University with at least 50% marks in aggregate.  Candidates appearing in March/April, 2012 can also apply.

(a)    Minimum age 17 years and maximum 25 years as on 1st September, 2012 i.e. those born after 1st September, 1995 & before 1st September, 1987 are not eligible.

The candidate can also apply in the form downloadable at PGI website http://pgimer.nic.in and submit the application along with requisite fee as mentioned above.   The prescribed application form along with prospectus (brochure of information) are also
available from the office of the undersigned w.e.f. 20.04.2012 either personally on cash payment from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon & from 2:30 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. on all working days except Saturdays (on Saturdays forms will be available from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon) or by post for which the request must be accompanied with self addressed thick envelope of size 23x10 cms bearing postage stamps of Rs.50/- and Bank Draft preferably from any SBI Branch payable at SBI Medical Institute Branch Code No. 1524) for General/OBC Rs.1000/- & for SC/ST Rs.800/- (indicating category i.e. General/OBC or SC/ST) drawn in favour of Director, PGI, Chandigarh.

Note:

Prospectus/form purchased for SC/ST category shall not be entertained in General Category
It is in the interest of the candidate to send the application through Registered/Speed Post.
No request for supply of forms by post will be entertained after 21.05.12 for M.Sc. Nursing and 07.06.12 for B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) and B.Sc. Nursing ( 4 Years).

Himachal Pradesh University (HPU)

Entrance Test for admission to B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course

Eligibility Criteria

(i) For Govt. Institution and State Duota Seats in Private Nursing Colleges: Female children of Bonafide Himachali/ Himachal Govt. Employees and Employees of Autonomous Bodies wholly or partially financed by the Himachal Pradesh Govt. shall only be eligible to compete in the said Entrance Test.

(ii) For Management Quota Seats (only in Private Nursing Colleges): For filling up Management quota seats in Private B.Sc. Nursing Colleges in the Sate of Himachal Pradesh, there will be no bonafide condition. Under this quota, both Himachali and non-Himachali interested female candidates can compete in this entrance test subject to fulfillment of minimum educational qualification and age as given hereunder.

AGE & EDUCATIONAL OUALIFICATION:

(i) Age: The age of the candidate should be between 17 to 35 years as per matriculation certificate as on 31st December 2010 i.e. date of birth of the candidate should be in between on or after 1.1.1976 and on or before 31 .12.1993. However, a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit shall be available for SC/ST/OBC candidates i.e. the candidate must born on or after 1.1.1971.

(ii) Educational Qualifications: The candidate should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examinations from HP Board of School Education or any Board / University established by law in India with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as elective subjects with aggregate 45% marks in the above subjects. For SC / ST / OBC candidates, minimum percentage of aggregate marks in the above
subjects is, however, 40%.

Note (i) The candidates who have appeared in 10+2 or its equivalent examination and whose results have not been declared can also apply for this test, but their candidature shall be considered only in case of fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria as prescribed in the prospectus at the time of 1st round of counseling.

(ii) Admission to married candidates for B.Sc. Degree Course shall
be allowed subject to the production of medical fitness certificate.

At University Counter: For prescribed application form and detailed information etc., the prospectus can be obtained at the University Exam Enquiry-cum-Sale Counter, Library Building (Basement), Summer Hill, Shimla- 5 from 7.7.2010 to 31.7.2010 during the working days on cash payment of Rs.1150/-.

By Post: The requests for supply of the prospectus by post can only be addressed to the Deputy Registrar(Entrance Tests), H.P. University, Summer Hill, Shimla•171 005. accompanied by crossed IPOs / Bank Draft amounting to Rs.1250/-, drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, H.P. University, Shimla.

No request for sending the said prospectus by post will be entertained after 17.7.2010. While applying for supply of prospectus by post, the candidate must write the “B.Sc. Nursing Prospectus-2010 is required" and also mention his / her complete mailing address in capital letters along with telephone number.

Eligibility Criteria

Age: Minimum age requirement is 17 years as on 1st October 2010.

Senior School Certificate Examination or Indian School Certificate Examination (12 Years Course) or an examination recognised as equivalent thereto with 50% or more marks (45% or more marks for SC/ ST/ OBC) in the aggregate of four subjects including English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology provided the student has passed in each subjects separately.

College of Nursing AFMC Pune





B.Sc. (Nursing) / General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) Course - 2010

Applications are invited from FEMALE candidates for admission to 4 years B.Sc. (Nursing) Course commencing in Aug, 2010 at College of Nursing AFMC Pune and 3 & ½ years Training of Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery course commencing in Sept 2010 at various Armed Forces Hospitals.

Selected candidates shall execute an agreement/Bond to serve in the Military Nursing Service (MNS) for 5 years, On successful completion of Nursing Training (4/ 3 & ½ yrs), the candidates will be granted commission in the Military Nursing Service, under the terms & conditions laid down for grant of such commission. They shall have to refund the entire cost of training in the event of withdrawal from the course, termination of training or refusal to accept commission in the MNS, if offered. During training they will be provided with free ration, accommodation, uniform allowance and monthly stipend.

Eligibility Conditions :

(a) Female candidates who are, unmarried/divorcee/legally separated or widow without encumbrances.

(b) Nationality - Indian

(c) Date of Birth -Between 01 Aug 85 and 31 Jul 93.

(d) Educational Qualification- Should have passed in the FIRST ATTEMPT the complete senior secondary (10+2)/equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum 50% aggregate marks as a regular student. Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing for final year of qualifying examination during the current academic session may also apply. The candidates finally selected for the course will have to submit proof of passing the qualifying exam before joining the course. Those who have passed such examinations as private students or with compartment in any subject are not eligible.

(e) Physical standards- Medical fitness will be determined as per Military Standards by Military Authorities. X-Ray examination of chest will be done.

Selection : Eligible applicants will be called for an objective type written test of 90 minutes duration covering General English, Biology and General Intelligence, likely to be held in Jan/Feb 2010, The parts of question paper pertaining to Biology and General intelligence will be bilingual.

Candidates as per merit on the basis of written test will be called for interview during Mar/April 2010.

Final selection will be based on combined merit subject to medical fitness.

Medical Examination : After the interview the recommended candidates will have to appear for medical examination before a Special Medical Board (SMB). Candidates declared FIT/UNFIT will be informed by the President of the Medical Board including the procedure for requesting for APPEAL/REVIEW MEDICAL BOARD.

Written Examination Centres : Bangalore.Chandimandir, Chennai, Denradun, Delhi, Danapur, Guwahati, Jabalpur, Jammu, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Secunderabad, Thiruvananthapuram and Vishakapatnam. The number of centers may change as per the number of candidates for the written test.

Note : If sufficient number of candidates are not available at any centre, the candidates posting for that centre will be allotted the centre of their second choice.

How to apply.

(a) Apply on plain paper A4 size as per the format given in the advertisement (to be typed in Block Letters). (b) Applications received after the last date, will neither be opened nor be entertained. (c) Applications received on newspaper cutting or its photocopy will not be accepted.

The list of enclosures to be attached (PHOTO COPIES ONLY) with the application are as follows:-

(a) Attested copy of matric/equivalent certificate showing DATE OF BIRTH. (b) Attested copy of complete Mark Sheet of Senior Secondary (10+2)/equi. exam. In case, subject codes and maximum marks are given on rear side, copies of BOTH SIDES are essential. (Candidates appearing in qualifying examination (10+2 / equivalent exam should enclose certificate to the same effect from the Principal of the School.

(c) Attested copy of Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST candidates. (d) Gap Certificate in case the time gap between 10th or 12th class is more than two years from concerned school/College that candidate passed complete Sr secondary exam in the First Attempt as a regular student. (e) Four copies of Admit Card on A4 size paper with passport size photo (without attestation ) duly pasted in the space provided. If the photograph is not properly pasted and is stapled/loosely affixed and gets detached while in transit/handling, the application of such candidate is liable to be rejected. (f) Four self-addressed envelopes (good quality) of size 27x12 cms with Postal Stamps of Rs. 6/- be fixed on each envelope: (g) An affidavit stating that you are issueless (in case of widows/divorcees) (h) Legal documents of the divorcee and an affidavit that the matter is not under consideration with the higher court. These documents should be neatly tagged.

Similar and recent Photo on the application form as well as on the admit cards should be pasted and not stapled. DGMS-4B will not be held responsible for loss of any documents while handling at any stage.

Note : The selection of the candidate for B.Sc (Nsg) / GNM course will however be subject to producing of the mark sheet/ certificate of the qualifying examination (10+2) or equivalent before final selection and meeting all other eligibility conditions.
