NCDC Seeking Applications For 2-Year India Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Programme

National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC)-Delhi, in collaboration with the US Centres for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), is currently hosting the India Epidemic Intelligence Services (EIS) Programme, modeled on the US EIS Programme. This is a Joint Venture between India and USA, aimed at preparing Public Health professionals for leadership positions at district, state and national levels. The India EIS Programme has been recognized by National Board of Examination (NBE) to appear for DNB Part 2 as per the laid down procedures.


Applications are invited for the enrollment of a minimum of 15 outstanding public health professionals for India EIS, commencing in September 2014 for a period of 2 Years. Out of this, approximately a one month training would be at NCDC with other training opportunities offered throughout the training to fulfill prescribed core activities of learning, to acquire the needed skills of a practicing field epidemiologist.

Eligibility Criteria

MBBS plus MD (Public Health) or MBBS plus MD (Clinical / Para-Clinical) with 2 years public health experience or MBBS with PG Diploma in Clinical / Para-Clinical field from any recognized institution with three years of PH experience OR MBBS from any recognized institution with 5 years of PH experience, may also apply.

Age limit should be 25-45 years at the time of application.

Sponsored / Nominated candidates should be regular / permanent employees of Central / State Health Service or equivalent viz. ESI, Railways, Municipal Corporations, Local Bodies etc.

Out of 15 seats, 12 seats are state sponsored candidates* and 3 for self sponsored candidates **. In case self sponsored candidates are not available, the seats will be filled up from amongst the state-sponsored candidates.

Sponsored candidates shall be paid full salary and other admissible allowances for the two years training period by their sponsoring authority.

Competitive Selection: All applicants, both state-sponsored and self-sponsored shall undergo a stringent competitive process for the selection. Sponsorship / Nomination does not automatically guarantee selection. The nomination agencies will recommend  and forward the application of employee with the agreement to release the employee to NCDC for the duration of the two-year programme, in case of his / her selection to the course.

Training Fees, Etc: No training fees will be charged to the candidate. However, candidates are required to meet living expenses including boarding and lodging on their own during the period of training.

AIPGMEE 2014 Result Declared

Result of AIPGMEE 2014 in respect of University of Delhi (DU) for admission to Delhi University Quota MD / MS / PG Diploma seats has been declared on 31 January 2014. The Result of candidates can be seen at Notice Board at Ansari Nagar Office of National Board of Examinations New Delhi and AIPGMEE 2014 website www.nbe.gov.in/aipgmee


Final eligibility / Overall State Rank / State Category Rank shall be determined by the Designated Authority / Department of University of Delhi.

Candidates are required to verify from the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi (DU) if at all they will be considered for admission to Delhi University Quota Post Graduate seats based on application rule position, domicile criteria, State / Institute of Graduation, reservation status etc.

Merely appearing / passing in AIPGMEE 2014 does not make a candidate qualified and / or eligible for University Quota Seats.

Counseling and sear allotment shall be done by the Designated Authority / Department of University of Delhi.

FEE: Examination fee of Rs. 3500/- Three Thousand and Five Hundred is required to be paid vide challan at all Branches of Indian Bank and Axis Bank.

National Board of Examinations

National Board of Examinations - DNB-CET (Super Specialty) Examinations - 2009

National Board of Examinations will conduct the DNB-CET (Super Specialty) Examinations on 04.01.2009. The Bulletin of Information and Application Forms can be:

Admission to the 3 years Super Specialty DNB programme.

1. Downloaded from the website www.natboard.edu.in (bulletin fee of Rs. 500/- will have to be paid for downloaded forms along with the fee for examination) (25.10.2008 onwards).

2. Obtained on cash payment of Rs.500/- from selected branches of Indian Bank as stated below (31.10.2008 onwards) :

ELIGIBILITY:

Candidate should have passed the requisite Post graduate degree or equivalent qualification on or before the last date of submission of application form i.e. on 14th November 2008.





FEE STRUCTURE

The fee is payable only through a bank draft/pay order issued from Nationalized Bank drawn in favour of NATIONAL BOARD OF EXAMINATIONS payable at New Delhi, along with the application form by the last date as specified in the Bulletin of Information.

Examination Fee

i) CET-SS Exam Rs. 3000/-
ii) Internet Downloaded forms Rs. 500/-

Note: Internet Downloaded forms to be accompanied with form fees of Rupees Five Hundred in addition to exam fee of Rs. 3000/-. (Total Rs 3,500/-) Absentees from the examination will forfeit their examination fee.

Candidates are advised to read the rule position carefully and satisfy the terms and conditions for fulfillment of eligibility criteria.

As per the Screening Test regulations notified by the Medical Council of India with approval of the Government of India, “An Indian citizen possessing a primary medial qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council on or after 15.03.02002 shall have to qualify a screening test”.

The next session of the Screening Test for Indian Nationals with Foreign Medical Qualification will be held on the 28th September 2008.
