GTB Hospital General Nursing and Midwifery Diploma Course Admission – 2013


The Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTBH), New Delhi invites applications for 3 ½ years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery course from unmarried / divorcee / widow without encumbrance female candidates on prescribed form attached with prospectus and obtainable from the office of School of Nursing, GTB Hospital, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Dilshad Garden, Dilshad Garden, Delhi – 95 on payment of Rs 800/- by Demand Draft payable at Delhi drawn in favour of Medical Superintendent   from any Nationalized Bank from 29.04.2013 to 24.05.2013 between 10 am to 1 pm on working days (Monday to Friday) except Gazetted Holidays. Application form can also be downloaded from hospital website which can be submitted at the Office of School of Nursing, GTBH along with Demand Draft.

Eligibility Criteria for GTBH’s Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery Program


Educational Qualification
Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized board / university with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of 10+2. A relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks is available for candidates of SC/ST category. Candidates appeared in 10+2 board exam 2013 are also eligible to apply.

List of Subjects to be considered for admission is given below.

Any four subjects including English from the list given below will be considered for admission. Candidates must have passed in all four subjects of 10+2 (Five Subjects as CBSE policy).
Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, English, Commerce, Accountancy, Economics, Business Studies, Computer Science, / Informatics Practice / Word Processing / Multimedia, History, Geography, Civics, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, Home Science

Or 

Candidate must have passed vocational ANM course (revised after 2001) from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council. ANM training that is 10+1. ½ years training should  also have passed +2 or its equivalent examination. No other vocational courses are eligible.

Age limit and relaxation: Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 30 years respectively as on 31.12.2013. (5 years relaxation in age is available for candidates belonging to SC/ST category)

The candidates should be medically fit.

Selection Procedure: School of Nursing – Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, Delhi will conduct an entrance examination on 21.07.2013 for admission into Diploma Course in General Nursing and Midwifery.

The merit list shall be displayed on the on the notice board of School of Nursing as well as on Hospital Website on 24.07.2013 at 4PM
