Postgrauduate Institute of Medical Education and Research

Applications on the prescribed form are invited for the following courses at National Institute of Nursing Education, PGIMER, Chandigarh for the academic session-2009.

1. B.Sc. Nursing (4 years) (only for female candidates) Session starting from 1st September, 2009.

2. B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) (2 years) Session starting from 1st September, 2009.

3. M.Sc. Nursing (2 years) Session starting from 16th July, 2009.

Eligibility: For 1. B.Sc. Nursing (4 years):

a)10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or any other equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Candidate appearing in April-May, 2009 can also apply.

b) Minimum age 17 years and maximum 25 years as on Ist September, 2009.

For B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) (2 years):
a)10+2 or its equivalent qualification form a recognized Board/University
b) R.N. & RM. as approved by INC or substitute registration in case of male candidates.

For M.Sc. Nursing (2 years):
a) B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic)/B.Sc. Nursing degree from a recognized Institute/ University with 55% marks in aggregate.
b) One year experience by 15th July, 2009 in bed side Nursing or Public Health Nursing or teaching in Nursing from Institutions recognized by State Govt. / Govt. of India.
c) R.N. & R.M. as approved by INC or substitute registration in case of male candidates.
Application procedure: The candidate may apply in the form downloadable at PGI website together with requisite fee by demand draft in the name of Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh.

The prescribed application form along with prospectus (Brochure of information) are also available from the office of the undersigned w.e.f. 21.05.2009, either personally on payment of Rs. 500/- for General/OBC category and Rs. 400/- for SC / ST from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon and from 2.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. on all working days except Saturdays (on Saturdays forms will be available from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon) or by post for which the request must be accompanied with a self addressed thick envelope of size 24 x 15 cms bearing postage stamps of Rs. 45/- and bank draft preferably from any SBI Branch payable at SBI Medical Institute Branch (Code No. 1524) for General / OBC Rs. 500/- and for SC / ST Rs. 400/- (indicating category) drawn in favour of Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh.

Admission to M.Sc. Computer Science – 2009

Eligibility: (1) (a) B.Sc. (H) Computer Science with 60% marks (b) B.Sc. Applied Physical Sciences (c) Any Bachelors Degree with at least eight papers in Computer Science and two papers in Mathematics under semester system or at least six papers in Computer Science and two papers in Mathematics under annual examination system.

Note: For (b) and (c) 60% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in Computer Science and Mathematics separately are required.

(2) 50% of the seats shall be tilled on the basis of merit in the B.Sc. (H)Computer Science Examination 2009 of the University of Delhi. These candidates are also required to till up the application form.

Application procedure: Bulletin of information along with the application form can be obtained from the Department on all working days between 9:30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. against Bank Draft of Rs. 250/- for SC/ST and Rs. 500/- for others, drawn in favour of the Registrar, University of Delhi and payable at New Delhi.

For obtaining the bulletin and application form by post, the Bank Draft along with a self addressed stamped (worth Rs. 30/-) envelope (size 10" x 7") should be sent to Office-Incharge, Room No.113, Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Mathematical Sciences, Opposite Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007.
