For in-service Sponsored candidates – Ph.D. and Master’s Degree in Dairying in the above disciplines.

Eligibility: For Ph.D. (Dairying)

Master's degree in relevant area with 60 percent marks (55 per cent marks for SC/ST) or equivalent OGPA.

For in-service Sponsored candidates:

In-service candidates in permanent employment with Central/State Government and Universities, having three years regular service in the relevant field and requisite qualification i.e. Master‘s degree in the relevant area with 60 percent marks (55 per cent marks for SC/ST) or equivalent OGPA for Ph.D. in Dairying, and Bachelor’s degree in the relevant area with 60 percent marks (55 per cent marks for SC/ST) or equivalent OGPA for Master in Dairying.

Eligibility: (i) M.Tech. Engineering Education (for both Regular and Modular) Programme

A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy from a recognized University or its equivalent OR Master’s Degree in Mathematics/ Physics/ Chemistry from a recognized University with atleast 50% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 2 years (3 years in case of AMIE/IETE after diploma) in teaching/industry/research organization.

(ii) M.E. Manufacturing Technology (for both Regular and Modular) Programme

A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engg/Production Engg./Industrial Engg. from a recognized University or its equivalent with atleast 50% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 2 years (3 years in case of AMIE after diploma) in teaching/industry/research organization.

(iii) M.E. Construction Technology & Management (for both Regular and Modular)

A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent with atleast 50% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 2 years (3 years in case of AMIE after diploma) in teaching/industry/research organization.

(iv) M.E. Computer Science and Engineering (for both Regular and Modular)

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering/Electronics Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/Instrumentation Engineering/ Information Technology from a recognized University or its equivalent with atleast 50% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 2 years (3 years in case of AMIE/IETE after diploma) in teaching/industry/research organization.

(v) M.E. Instrumentation and Control (for both Regular and Modular) Programme

A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering/ Instrumentation and Control Engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent with atleast 50% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 2 years (3 years in case of AMIE/IETE after diploma) in teaching/industry/research organization.

(vi) M.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering (for both Regular and Modular) Programme

A Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized University or its equivalent with atleast 50% marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 2 years (3 years in case of AMIE/IETE after diploma) in teaching/ industry/ research organization.

No experience is required for admission of general candidates to M. Tech/ME Programmes.

Application procedure: PROSPECTUS with application forms can be obtained (may also be downloaded from our website on or after 01.04.2009; such applications must accompany a demand draft of Rs. 500/-) from the Institute either on payment of Rs. 500/- or by sending a crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 550/- in favour of Director, NITTTR, Chandigarh along with a self addressed envelope of 25x20 cms.
