Eligibility: Candidates satisfying the following eligibility criteria are eligible to appear for AIET B.TECH-2009

Candidate must be Indian National

The Nationality (Domicile Certificate) issued by the District Magistrate/ Additional District Magistrate/Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid Passport shall constitute proof of Nationality.

The candidates who have appeared for HSC or equivalent examination and whose results will be declared before the dates of counseling will also be eligible to appear at AIET-B.TECH.

The Candidate must be either of 17 years of age or attain that age at the time of admission. Candidate should have passed H.S.C. (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually also.

The candidate should have obtained not less than 50% of the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the qualifying examination.

The Scheduled caste, Scheduled tribe and OBC students shall have relaxation of 10% in the aggregate marks required for eligibility. Candidate should have secured minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the AIET competitive entrance examination of this University.

A graduate student having completed any of the following with minimum 50% marks

Banaras Hindu University (BHU)

Applications are invited for admission to M.Tech./M.Pharm. programme offered by various Departments and inter-disciplinary schools in the Institute of Technology for the Session 2009-2010.
Eligibility: Candidates who have qualified in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) (conducted jointly by the IITs and IISc. Bangalore) and who, in addition, possess the requisite qualifications as indicated in the Brochure for the respective department/school, are eligible for admission to Post-Graduate programmes leading to M.Tech./ M.Pharm. degree.

Candidates whose B.Tech./B.E. results are not yet declared or who are due to appear in the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply. However, at the time of test/ interview/ counselling they are required to produce a certificate from the institution concerned to the effect that they have completed all requirements of the qualifying examination before the date of test/interview/counselling.

There should be no examination, what-so-ever, pending for a later date. Admission of all such candidates shall be provisional, till they produce documentary evidence of having passed the qualifying examination. If such evidence (mark-sheet) is not produced by 30th September, their provisional admission will stand cancelled automatically without any further notice.
