PhD Programmes (Full Time & Part Time)The admission forms of PhD Programmes are available throughout the year on the website of the School but the candidates shall be admitted twice in a year i.e. in August and January to coincide with commencement of Autumn and Winter Semester respectively

Eligibility Criteria:Architectural Conservation & Urban Design: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Planning from a recognized university or equivalent
Environmental Planning: Bachelor’s degree in Planning or Architecture or Civil Engineering Or Architectural Engineering or Environmental Engineering or Master’s degree in Geography or Economics or Sociology or Environmental Science* or Environmental Management* of a recognized university or equivalent.
Regional Planning & Urban Planning: Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or Architecture or Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering or MA Geography or Economics or Sociology from a recognized university or equivalent.
Housing: Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or Architecture or Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering or Municipal Engineering or Building Engineering or MA in Sociology or Economics from a recognized university or equivalent.
Transport Planning: Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or Architecture or Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent or Master’s Degree in Statistics / Operational Research / Economics from a recognized university or equivalent.
Landscape Architecture: Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture or Planning or Masters Degree in Planning or Equivalent Post-Graduate Diploma of a Recognized University / Institution or Certificate of Completion of Pre-Landscape Architecture Course of the SPA, New Delhi.
Building Engineering & Management: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Building Engineering or Architecture or Architectural Engineering or Building Science or Five Year Diploma in Constructional Technology or Equivalent from a recognized University / Institution established by an act of parliament of state legislature.
Design (Industrial Design): Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture of a recognized University or equivalent or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Design / Fine Arts of a recognized University or equivalent with valid CEED Score (essential for non-architectural candidates) from approved streams.
Note: *Candidates admitted with these qualifications will not be eligible to register themselves as Associate Members of the ITPI.
Marks: Candidates with atleast 55% marks in aggregate at the qualifying examination, 50% aggregate marks in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates.
Download Application Form for PhD (FT/PT) and Master’s Programmes (FT)General Instructions: An applicant can apply for maximum of two courses of studies. The candidates applying for two courses will have to mention first and second preference against the courses. Once the fee is paid the will not be allowed to change stream in any circumstances. Each application form must be submitted alongwith DD of Rs 1100/- for each application separately drawn in favor of School of Planning and Architecture, payable at New Delhi. Photocopies of the certificates, marksheets are to be attached with the application forms duly attested by them. Filled applications may be submitted by post or in person to the Section Officer (AE) in the School.
PG Scholarships: The scholarships @ Rs. 8000/- pm to GATE or CEED (applicable only for ID Course) qualified candidates will be paid to those who have valid Score Card.
Bachelor’s Programmes (Architecture / Planning)Admission to Bachelor’s Programe in Architecture and Bachelor’s Programme in Planning will be made through JEE 2014
FN / NRI / PIO: Admission of Foreign Nationals / No-Resident Indians and Persons of Indian Origin is made through DASA. Candidates desirous for admission in UG may contact to DASA.
Reservation of Seats: Reservation for al the courses will be applicable for SC / ST / OBC / PH and Kashmiri Migrants etc as per rules of the Government of India. For details please log on to www.spa.ac.in
