The Delhi Technological University (DTU) has been established by Government of Delhi by upgrading the erstwhile Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) vide act 6 of 2009. M. Tech Programs

Application forms for admission to 22 M Tech Programmes in various departments of the University will be filled Online w.e.f. 5 May 2014 through admission website www.dtuadmissions.nic.in.

CAT 2013 Results

The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2013 had held from Wednesday,16 October 2013 - Monday,11 November 2013 for admission into Post Graduate Programmes in IIMs and Other Institutes Accepting CAT 2013 Score for admission into post graduate management programmes (PG Diploma / Post Graduate Programme in Management / MBA etc.) The CAT Examination is conducted by IIMs but score card is also used by many other institutes. Thus CAT Score works like standardized score, similar as GMAT SCORE or GRE Score. The administering authority for CAT 2013 is IIM Indore. Results being announced on 14 January 2014, (the auspicious day of Makar Sankranti in Hindi Calendar). The CAT 2013 Score will be available through official website.

CAT 2012 - Common Admission Test

Registration will open from 30th July 2012 to 19 October 2012

Prometric is IIMs partner for developing and delivering CAT 2012. The IIM Kozhikode is the administering authority for CAT 2012 administration. The test will be held from 11 October 2012 to 6 November 2012.

The CAT 2012 will be delivered in similar lines of CAT 2012. However, number of registration dates are quite more compared to past years.


CAT 2012 Eligibility Criteria


To appear in CAT 2012 one must require 50% marks in graduation exam or equivalent CGPA. In case of SC, ST, PD/PWD i.e. for handicapped people this eligibility is 45%.

Reservations Criteria

15% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) and 7½% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates. 27% of seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates belonging to the “non-creamy” layer (NC-OBC).

For state wise OBC eligibility and NC OBC eligibility log on to www.ncbc.nic.in 

Differently Abled (DA) candidates who are suffring with following disabilities
a) low-vision/blindness,
b) hearing impairment,
and c) locomotor disability/cerebral palsy.
This provision is applicable if the candidate suffers from any of the listed disabilities to the extent of not less than 40%, as certified by a medical authority as prescribed and explained in the said Act.

IIMs Selection Process


The IIMs will shortlist candidates on the basis of score in CAT 2012 for admission into various management programs begining 2013. The shortlisted candidates may require to appear for Written Ability Test - WAT, Group Discussion - GD, and Personal Interview - PI.

CAT 2012 Result will be declared on January 9, 2012 after which IIMs will display the list of shortlisted candidates on its website. Candidates will also be informed via postal communication in this regard.

Reporting for CAT 2012


CAT 2012 will be held in two sessions morning and evening. Once chose a test timing according to convenience.

CAT 2012 Test Pattern


  • The CAT 2012 will be distributed over two sections.
  • Question in first section will be from Quantative Ability - QA and Data Interpretation - DI
  • Question in second section will be from Verbal Ability - VA and Logical Reasoning
  • The exam duration will be 140 minutes.
  • There will be 30 question to be answered in 70 minutes in each section.

CAT 2012 is a Computer Based Test - CBT delivered by Pearson for IIMs.

CAT 2012 Scoring System


You will be rewarded +3 marks for each correct answer. Meanwhile for each wrongly marked answer you will be awarded -1 marks. Remember CAT is highly competitive examination, answering a question wrongly may cost you dearly in your CAT 2012 merit. Do not rely upon guess. Simply do not attempt a question if you do not know the correct answer. There is 0 marks for questions not attempted.

Admissions for Post Graduate Programme for Certificate in Entrepreneurship Management (PGP-CEM) 2011

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply for admission into the Programme, the candidates should

(i) be at least Graduates from any recognized University

(ii) have interest in entrepreneurship-social or commercial- even though currently not functioning as entrepreneurs

(iii) possess basic computer literacy

(iv) Although no age bar has been stipulated, it is expected that the candidates applying for PGP-CEM are physically and mentally fit to go through a typical XLRI programme.

(v) Eligible applicants will be subject to a process of Personal Interview and, if necessary, Group Discussion for final selection of candidates for admission into the Programme

Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum 50% of marks. Final year students of respective discipline can also appear for MIT-MAT.

National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD)

Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management (PGDRDM): 2011-12

Duration: (One year) August, 2011 to July, 2012

Eligibility Criteria

Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University. Students who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before 1st August, 2011 may also apply.

Some seats are reserved for the Indian in-service candidates and international in-service candidates sponsored by regional development organizations such as AARDO and CIRDAP.

Indian in-service candidates should possess at least two years of work experience in rural development and allied sectors, and are required to apply through their employers.

The international candidates should apply through the Secretariats of the respective regional organisations viz., AARDO, CIRDAP.

Organisational Sponsorship for all the in-service candidates is essential. In-service Indian candidates are required to appear for the Entrance Test along with the general students.

However, a separate merit list will be prepared for them for admissions. The eligibility parameters for international students are placed on the NIRD’s website.

Prospectus-cum-application form can be obtained from the Admissions Coordinator, Centre for Post Graduate Studies (CPGS), NIRD, Hyderabad free of cost. Application forms will also be given at NIRD – NERC office at Khanapara, Guwahati and at the Eastern Regional Centre of NIRD at Patna and at the NIRD centre at Jaipur. Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline of any of the universities by an Act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared as a deemed to be University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

The bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
The basis of computing the percentage obtained by the candidate in the bachelor’s degree would be based on the practice followed by the university/institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree. In case of the candidates being awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence certified by the university/institution from where they have obtained bachelor’s degree.

In case the university/institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence must be established by ASBM by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100.

Candidates appearing for the final examination for the bachelor’s degree (or equivalent examination) can also apply, subject to furnishing evidence to that effect latest by the stipulated date mentioned in the offer letter, otherwise they may be asked to withdraw from the programme.
