XX Post Graduate Diploma Course in Mechanical Wood Industries Technology 2008-2009 – 1 Year Full Time

Eligibility

Graduate in Science/Engineering from any recognized University.

Age limit 28 years as on (1-10-2008) for General, 33 years for SC / ST, and 31 years for OBC.





Selection: Based on marks obtained in B.Sc/BE degree examination
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC as per Government of India rules.

Application form and prospectus can be obtained by submission of DD of Rs. 250/- (non-refundable)in favour of Director, IPIRTI,Bangalore along with requisition letter.

Course fee
A non refundable Course fee of Rs.17500/ payable at the time of admission. In addition to the course fee, amount of Rs. 2000/ is to be paid as caution money and advance mess deposit of Rs. 2000 to be refunded at the time of the completion of the course. These amounts are to be deposited in the form of demand draft on any nationalized bank drawn in favor of 'Director, IPIRTI' payable at Bangalore within two weeks of issue of letter regarding selection or before the commencement of the course whichever is earlier. Applications are invited from Non-Hindi speaking Indians/Foreigners for admission to the following Hindi correspondence courses.

COURSES:

1. Certificate Course in Hindi (Preliminary course/Middle Level)

2. Diploma Course in Hindi (Subsequent to certificate course/ Secondary Level)

3. Advance Diploma in Hindi (Sr. Secondary Level)

Eligibility

1. Course one : Whose mother tongue is not Hindi Indians and Foreigners residing in India or abroad who have attained the minimum age of 15 years as on 1.7.2008. In case of children of Indian nationals/Settlers residing abroad the minimum age is 10 years.

2. Course two : Those who fulfill (1) above and have either passed Certificate course conducted by Central Hindi Directorate or who possess sufficient background of Hindi or who have appeared in Certificate Course Examination in May 2008.

3. Course three: It is open to all Indians and foreigners residing in India or abroad whose mother tongue is not Hindi, who have appeared in Diploma Course Examination in May 2008 Minimum age limit for admission as on 1.7.2008 is 17 years.

Fee for Certificate/Diploma course in Hindi

A fee of Rs. 50 from candidate residing in India and US Dollars $ 50 or pound £30 or equivalent to Indian currency from candidate residing abroad is charged for each course.



Fee for Advance Diploma course in Hindi

1. Candidate residing in India: Rs. 200/-
2. Candidate residing abroad : US Dollar $200 or pound £120

Where dollar or pound is not currency then equivalent to the currency of the concerned country will be accepted. Fee can be remitted by crossed Indian Postal Order or Bank Draft (issued by Nationalized Bank) in favour of THE DIRECTOR, CENTRAL HINDI DIRECTORATE payable at New Delhi. Fee sent through Money Order/Cheque will not be accepted. Application without the prescribed fee and incomplete will be summarily rejected.

In case an applicant residing abroad finds it difficult to remit fee in hard currency on account of local foreign exchange restrictions. He/she is advised to deposit the fee in equivalent local currency with Indian Mission/Embassy in the country where he/she is residing and send us the receipt in original. The receipt must bear the name of the candidate and the amount equivalent to Indian currency.

The closing date for submission of filled-up application forms along with fee is 30/6/2008.

No formal qualification other than age (not less than 19 years) has been prescribed for these courses. The admission will be made on the basis of information given in the application form (please attach photocopies where necessary) and the statement of purpose. Candidates may also be required to appear for an interview for which date/time will be intimated separately. The fee for each course is Rs. 2,000/- only.

An objective type (MCQ) Entrance Test for admission to B. Pharmacy course in Govt. B. Pharmacy College, Rohroo and Private un-aided B.Pharmacy colleges, for the session 2008-2009 will be held on July, 6, 2008 (Sunday) on behalf of the Director, Technical Education, Vocational & Industrial Training Sundernagar, Distt. Mandi H.P. at Shimla, Mandi, Dharamsala and Hamirpur Examination centres for which the applications on the prescribed OMR application form available in the Prospectus are invited from the eligible candidates.

Date of Entrance Test: on July, 6, 2008 (Sunday)

LAST DATE: The last date for receipt of application forms complete in all respects either by hand or by Registered/Speed-Post in the Office of the Deputy Registrar (Entrance Tests) is 12.06.2008 upto 5 P.M. whereafter no application shall be accepted.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:

(i) For admission to 85% State Quota Seats, the candidate(s) should be bonafide/domicile of Himachal Pradesh. For admission to 15% All India Quota Seats, there is no such condition of domicile/bonafide of Himachal Pradesh,

(ii) Should be a pass in 10+2 examination from a recognized Board / University with physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects` along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics/Biology/Bio-Technology/ Computer Science.




NOTE:

(1) Pass in 10+2 National Open School (NOS) New Delhi with the above subjects shall not be an entry qualification for taking this Entrance Test.

(2) Management Quota Seats i.e. 33 1/3 % of total State Quota Seats shall also be filled up by respective Private Colleges on the basis of merit of marks obtained in the Entrance Examination.

(3) AGE/DATE OF BIRTH: Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1983 are eligible. However, in case of SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidates upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years i.e. who were born on or after October 01, 1978 are eligible.

PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING THE PROSPECTUS:

(i) By Cash: For prescribed application form and detailed information etc., the prospectus can be obtained at the University Examination Enquiry-Cum-Sale Counter No. 1, Library Building (Basement), Summer Hill, Shimla - 171 005 from 21.05.2008 (A.N.) to 12.06.2008 during working hours on payment of Rs. 500/- for General & other categories, and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST categories only,

(ii) BY POST: The requests for supply of the prospectus by post can only be addressed to the Deputy Registrar (Entrance Tests) H.P. University, Shimla-171005 accompanied by Crossed IPO`s/Bank Draft amounting to Rs. 550/- in case of General & other categories, and Rs. 300/- for SC/ST categories only drawn in favour of the FINANCE OFFICER, H.P. UNIVERSITY, SHIMLA- 5

No request for sending the prospectus by post will be entertained after 03.06.2008, while applying for supply of prospectus by post, the candidate must write that the B. Pharmacy Prospectus 2008 is required and complete mailing address in CAPITAL LETTERS along with telephone number be mentioned.

Note: It will be the entire responsibility of the candidates to procure the prospectus well in time and submit the application form complete in all respects within the stipulated date. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay for non-receipt or misplacement or loss of prospectus in transit. All disputes are subject to legal jurisdiction of courts in Shimla only.
