Applications are invited for MAH-MCA-CET 2010 for admission to First Year of three-year Full Time Post Graduate Degree Course in MCA in the Government, Govt. Aided, University Managed, University Departments and Unaided Institutes in the Maharashtra State.

Eligibility: Basic Qualification: In order to secure admission to first year of three-year full time MCA course, the candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Passed with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) in any Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities and having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination. OR
Appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities. Such candidates can be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the Degree exam with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) and having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level orhigher level examination. OR
Passed with any Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline AND passed in any Post Graduate degree course of minimum two years duration recognized by the Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with minimum 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) and having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level orhigher level examination. OR
Passed with any Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline AND Appeared for the final year examination of any Post Graduate degree of minimum two years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities. Availability of Information Brochure alongwith Application Kit :
The Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai continues the system of online receipt of application form for MCA for the year 2010-11.
Information brochure alongwith the Application Kit for the aspiring candidates will be available at the select post offices mentioned below only during working hours of the respective post offices from 08/02/2010 to 19/02/2010 (excluding Public Holidays) against the payment of the application form processing fees.
It is mandatory to procure the information brochure and go through it carefully. The CET that will be conducted in pursuance of this advertisement is subject to the rules and regulations set out in this information brochure. The further admission process, especially in respect of Private Unaided Institutes will be in terms of the clarification read with aforesaid rules and regulations.
Submission of the application form in response to this notification will amount to accepting the afore said rules & regulations unequivocally by the applicant and upon such submission it will be presumed that the applicant agrees and accepts these rules & regulations as legal, valid and correct. It will not be open for any applicant, once having submitted theapplication form to question the legality, validity and correctness of these rules & regulations.
Application form processing fees as stated below is to be paid at the identified post offices, in cash only. No other mode of payment shall be permitted.
A) For Open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates and NRI/Foreign National/Foreign Students/ PIO/Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries Candidates: Rs.750/-
B) For Candidates of Backward Class Categories [SC, ST, VJDT NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC] belonging to Maharashtra State only.: Rs.550/-
J & K Migrant candidates who wish to apply against J & K Migrant quota and also against OMS quota are required to pay total fee of Rs. 1500/- (Two separate receipts of Rs.750/- each). Such candidates will be required to register as both J&K and OMS candidate and one Hall ticket will be generated after confirmation of onlineapplication form.

This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

Submission and Confirmation of Online Application Form :
Aspiring candidates will be able to submit and confirm the Online Application form through the web site www.dte.org.in/mca through any computer connected to Internet.
For the submission and confirmation of the online Application Form the candidates are required to use the Application ID and Password provided in the Application Kit. Candidates are also required to upload his/her photo with signature as per the instructions given in the Application Kit. Candidates are advised to preserve the Application Kit carefully and not to disclose the Application ID & Password to others to avoid impersonation.

In order to take the printout of the Online submitted Application form and the printout of the Hall Ticket for the CET, it is mandatory for all the candidates to confirm the Online submitted Application form and such confirmed applications only will be considered valid for further processing.
Applications sent by Post/Courier etc. to ARCs/DTE office will be rejected and no communication in this regard will be done with the candidates.

JBT Common Entrance Test-2010

Two Years Junior Basic Training Course" (batch 2009-2011)

Minimum Essential Educational Qualification FOR JBT CET:
The minimum essential educational qualifications for CET is Senior Secondary School Certificate or Intermediate or 10+2 or its equivalent examination with at least 50% marks for non-graduates and 45% marks for graduates. However, for the purpose of computing percentage of marks, the candidates with at least 49.5% and 44.5% in 10+2 or its equivalent examination for non graduates and graduates respectively shall be eligible to apply and appear for the JBT CET 2009-2011.
The candidates who would be appearing in the qualifying examination but whose results would be declared later on can also apply but their eligibility for the said Entrance Test will be purely provisional subject to the condition that they-have to produce passing certificate scoring the percentage at least prescribed thereto in the qualifying examination on the day of counselling.
Age Limit
The age limit shall be 17-28 years as on 31.12.2009 for all candidates.
Relaxation in upper age limit shall be available as per the rules of the Government of Himachal Pradesh.
The following conditions will also be applicable to the candidates of Two Years Course/ Session 2009-2011:
1. 90% attendance would be necessary in the JBT training course.
2. 45% will be the pass marks in JBT Examinations of the 1st Year and 2nd Year.
3. Merit and seniority will be on the basis of the marks secured in the JBT pass course.
4. In case the trainees take leave on medical grounds/ maternity purpose then the training may be extended by the duration of leave taken.
5. During the training the candidates would not pursue any other
Educational course/study either regular or through distance mode.
6. Since contractual appointment will be considered alter passing of JBT course and subject to permission to fill up vacancies, hence, no bond will be executed to serve in the Education Department.
7. After successful completion of JBT Course as above conditions, the candidates are eligible for employment against vacant posts of JBT teacher in Elementary Education Department. Actual appointment will be based on vacancies and necessary approvals to fill the posts. As per present policy fresh appointments are being made on contract.

The Information Brochure containing Application Form shall be available from 08.2.2010 to 02.3.2010 on the Sale Book Depots of the Board in the State and all offices of the Sub Divisional Magistrates in Himachal Pradesh against cash payment of Rs. 250/- inclusive of fee for the Entrance Examination.

DR. K.S.Krishnan Research Associateship (KSKRA)





Invites Applications for its Prestigious Scheme DR. K.S.Krishnan Research Associateship (KSKRA)-21st Batch

Research Associates selected under the prestigious KSKRA programme are given an opportunity to work on R&D programmes of national importance relevant to the mandate of the Department in one of the following advanced research centres of DAE:

1. Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai.

2. Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam.

3. Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indore.

4. Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC), Kolkata.

5. Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB), Mumbai.

Up to 20 KSKRAs can be selected every year and paid a stipend of Rs.20,000/- (likely to be revised) + benefits for a maximum period of 2 years. Anytime during the 2nd year of associateship, subject to satisfactory performance, the KSKRAs will be absorbed in one of the above R&D units of DAE and appointed in the grade of Scientific Officer/ Engineer-D/ E.

The associateships are available in the following broad disciplines:

Engineering (All Branches) – Subject Code: 01
Physical Sciences – Subject Code: 02
Chemical Sciences – Subject Code: 03
Bio-Sciences – Subject Code: 04

Eligibility

A) Minimum Educational Qualification and Experience:

i) For Engineers: Ph.D. degree in Engineering (Those who have submitted thesis for Ph.D. may also apply) or Master`s degree in Engineering (M.Tech./ M.E./ M.S.) with a minimum of 2-year R&D experience after obtaining M.Tech./M.E../ M.S. degree.

ii) For Scientists: Ph.D. degree in Science (Those who have submitted Ph.D. thesis may also apply).

All candidates must have a First Class at either Masters or Bachelors level.

All candidates must provide a list of publications in support of their R&D experience.

B) Nationality/Age: Indian nationals who are not more than 32 years as on 1st January in the year of the application. The age criterion is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates. The SC/ ST/ OBC certificate should be as per the prescribed format.

SELECTION AND APPOINTMENT

Selection will be done by an interview committee (appointed by BRNS) from among the short listed candidates based on their qualification, published R&D work and performance in the interview. The selected candidates would be appointed as KSKRA for an initial period of one year, which is extendable by one more year based onperformance during the first year.

KSKRAs would be paid a monthly stipend of Rs. 20,000/- + benefits. Those candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis but are yet to receive their Ph.D. degree, if found suitable by the interview committee in view of their expertise and academic record, would be first designated as Research Associate (RA) and paid Rs.16,000/- per month and only after completion of their Ph.D. and obtaining a provisional certificate, they would be designated as KSKRA and paid Rs.20,000/- per month. For all other benefits, their date of joining as RA will be treated as the date of joining KSKRA Scheme. In addition Rs.10,000/- per year will be paid as Educational Material Allowance. Associates will be provided Hostel accommodation, medical and leave benefits during the Associateship.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT

Anytime during second year of Associateship, subject to satisfactory performance as evaluated by the concerned DAE unit, KSKRAs will be appointed as Scientific Officer/ Engineer-D in the Pay Band-3 (PB-3) (Rs.15,600-39,100) plus Grade Pay (GP) Rs.6,600/- and up to 4 advance increments may be awarded depending uponqualification, experience and performance . Exceptionally brilliant candidates with excellent track record in advanced technologies and having a Ph.D. may be considered forScientific Officer/ Engineer-E in PB-3 with higher GP of Rs.7,600/-.

In addition benefits under Performance Related Incentive Scheme (PRIS) as applicable to the scientists and engineers in DAE will also be provided. Total starting emoluments including Incentives and Allowances at the time of absorption in a Class-A1 city as on 01.01.2010 are more than Rs.50,000/- forScientific Officer/ Engineer-D and Rs.54,000/- for Scientific Officer/ Engineer-E.

HOW TO APPLY

a) The application should be preferably typewritten on a plain paper as per the pro-forma given in the advertisement for only one of the subjects listed above. Multiple applications received would be rejected.

b) Attach only photocopies of the following documents/ certificates duly attested by a Gazetted Officer/ Head of the Institute (Do not enclose original certificates).

i) All degree certificates and mark sheets starting with the eligibility qualification (for example Ph.D.) certificate.

ii) GATE Score, GATE Subject and GATE Exam Year or NET Qualification (optional).

iii) Proof of date of birth e.g. CBSE/ HSC/ SSC/ Matriculation certificate.

iv) SC/ ST/ OBC/ DODPKIA certificate, if applicable, as per the prescribed format.

c) Affix one passport size photograph on the top right corner of the application and enclose one spare photograph inside the envelope indicated at “c” above. Append your signatures across both the photographs.

d) Postal Order/Demand Draft of Rs.100/- as application fee drawn in favour of Accounts Officer, BARC payable at Mumbai. SC/ST and Dependents of Defence Personnel Killed In Action (DODPKIA) are exempted.

e) Persons working under the Central/ State Government/ Public Sector Undertakings should submit their application through proper channel.

f) Enclose 3 envelopes (size 5”x7”) with complete addresses including PIN code: One envelope for self and one each for the two referees who are familiar with your work. For a letter to be sent to Hindi-belt in India, the address on the envelope should be written in Hindi.

g) On the left hand corner of envelope please clearly mark your Subject Code Number and inscribe KSKRA with application due date.

h) Send application by Registered Post with Acknowledgement Due Card to the Deputy Establishment Officer (R-IV), 4th floor, Central Complex, Bhabha AtomicResearch Centre, Trombay, Mumbai-400085.

i) Applications will be received throughout the year. Selection interviews will be held twice every year.

j) The applicants who submit their applications by 1st March will be called for interview in May and those who submit their applications by 1st September will be called for interview in November of the same year.

(i) Degree in Naval Architecture/Marine, Mechanical/Electrical/Tele-Communication & Electronic/Design/ Production / Aeronautical /Control Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification, disciplines in any of the above, recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or Marine Engineering graduates of IMET Kolkata, OR

(ii) in Possession of Government of India, Ministry of Surface Transport Certificate of Competency as 1st class Engineer of Motor ship or other similar certificate recognised by the Government OR

(iii) Possesses final examination certificate of the College of Marine Engineering under the Department of Surface Transport, Government of India, OR

(iv) Have passed Section ‘A’ & ‘B`. of Institute of Engineers (India) Examination in any of disciplines listed at sl. No 1

Age: Born between 01st July, 1980 to 30th June, 1989

Gender: Male Only

Note

(a) The upper age limit is relaxable as per Govt. of India rules in vogue.
(b) The candidate is eligible to apply only for one post. More than one application received from a candidate shall be liable for rejection.
(c) The candidates who have already applied in response to previous advertisement within last three months need not apply again.

Medical Standard

(a) Height in Cms .

(i) Asst Commandant (GD) and Asst Commandant (GD) women for short service appointment ; 157 cms minimum, may be reduced by 5 cms in the case of Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese (including those from Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura) Garhwal, Sikkim, Local tribes of A & N islands and 2 cms in case of candidates from Lakshadweep, mainland settlers in Andaman and Nicobar.

(ii) Asst. Commandant (Pilot) and Asst. Commandant Commercial Pilot License (CPL) holders for Short Service Appointment : Min 162.5 cms and maximum 197 cms, leg length 99 cms.

(iii) Asst. Commandant Technical branch (Mechanical and Electrical): 157 cms minimum, may be reduced by 5 cms in the case of Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese (including those from Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura) Garhwal, Sikkim,
Local Tribes of A & N Islands and 2 cms in case of candidates from Lakshadweep, mainland settlers in Andaman and Nicobar.

(b) Weight : Proportionate to the Height and Age, (+)(-) 10.% acceptable.

(c) Chest: Well proportionate, minimum expansion 5 cms

(d) Eye Sight :

Asst. Commandant (GD) and Asst. Commandant (GD) Women for short service appointment: 6/6 (Good Eye); 6/9 (Bad Eye) Without Glasses

Asst. Commandant (Pilot) and Asst. Commandant (CPL Holders): 6/6 (both eyes) Without Glasses

Application on plain paper in the form appended below (type written or hand written in English/ Hindi) is to be sent so as to reach on or before 08 Feb 2010 to the Director (MPR&T), Post Box no. 127, Noida (UP) - 201301. Under Postal Certificate (UPC) only.

Central/State govt. employees should apply through proper channel.

Attested copies of certificate of age, caste of the candidate, educational qualification including statement of marks, NCC, sports and sell addressed unstamped envelope of size 25 x 10 cm are to be attached with the application.

Notification MHT – CET – 2010

Government of Maharashtra shall conduct a single combined "Common Entrance Test" MHT-CET-2010 for all Health Sciences, Engineering and Pharmacy degree courses for the academic year 2010-2011. The said Common Entrance Test will be held on Thursday, 6th May 2010.

Detailed program regarding issue of application forms and information brochures will be announced later.
