(2) B.E. / B.Tech with interest in Physics .

(3) Medicine / Engineering.

(4) Exceptionally bright B.Sc. students in Mathematics may be considered.

Indian Navy (IN)

Applications are invited to join the prestigious Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala under 10+2 Cadet (B Tech) Entry Scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

Age: 17 to 19 & ½ years (i.e. born between 02 Jan 1992 & 01 Jul 1994. (both dates inclusive).

Educational Qualification:
Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent from University / Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class Xll).

Physical Standards

a) Height and Weight: Minimum height - 157 cms with correlated weight as per age.

(b) Eye Sight: The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour blind.

Note: There will be no relaxation in physical standards.

Selection Procedure

The selection procedure for the Entry is as follows-

(a) The candidates will be issued call up for Services Selection Board (SSB) interviews based on their PCM marks in 10+2 / equivalent Examination

(b) SSB interviews for short listed candidates will be scheduled during Feb to May 2011 at Bangalore, Bhopal, Coimbatore.

(c) The total duration of SSB Interviews is of 5 days, consisting Stage I (Day one) and Stage ll (Four days). Stage I Tests consist of intelligence Tests, Picture Perception and Discussion Tests (PPDT). Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage l will be routed back on the same day from SSB centre. Stage ll Tests consist of Psychological Tests, Group Task Tests, Group discussion and interview. Successful candidates will therafter undergo Medical Examination at nearest military hospital for duration of 05 days.

(d) Candidates recommended by the SSBs and declared medically fit, will be appointed for training in order of all India merit depending on the number of vacancies

(e) Change of SSB centre for interviews not permissible.

(f) Candidates who wish to change their SSB dates must apply to the President of the SSB. Award of fresh dates for SSB would be subject to availability at respective SSB.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply.

Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1989 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2011.

A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with a minimum average of 60% of marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB).

A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with 50% average marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology(PCM / PCB) for Candidates belonging to SC/ST and Students hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and from the North Eastern States of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.

Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) candidates are eligible only for B.Tech. Bioinformatics, Bio-Medical Engineering & Biotechnology programmes.

Candidates appearing for the 10+2 examination in March / April 2011 are also eligible to apply.

The Prospectus and the information brochure for the B.Tech. Degree programme -2011, along with the necessary enclosures which include the Application Form and a printed self-addressed envelope, can be obtained against cash payment of Rs. 750/- from the various post offices as given.

Candidates can obtain from the designated branches of post offices on cash payment of Rs. 750/- (or)

By sending a Demand Draft for Rs. 750/- drawn in favour of ‘VIT University [^] ’ payable at Vellore to the address of Admissions Officer, VIT University, Vellore with a request letter containing the complete address with phone number. (or)
