Civil Services Examination 2015 Notification

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) New Delhi announces Civil Services Examination Schedule 2015. The Examination Notice No. 09/2015-CSP published in this regard in the Employment News (English) and Rozgar Samachar (Hindi) Dated 23/05/2015. The notification can also be found on UPSC Official Website www.upsc.gov.in


The UPSC New Delhi conducts Civil Services Examination in 3 Stages: 1. Civil Services Preliminary (CSP), 2. Civil Services (Main) and 3. Civil Services Personality Interview.

The CSP Test is preliminary round test and Screening Type examination based on Objective Type Questions. On the basis of performance in CSP Test UPSC decides whether a candidate’s academic level of education is fit to appear for Civil Services Main Examination. Commission sets a minimum Cut Off percentage to prepare list of qualified candidates to appear for Civil Services Main Examination which is Subjective Type Test.

The UPSC Prepare Merit Rank of Candidates Qualified in the Civil Services Main Examination and invite them to appear for Personality Interview at New Delhi.

Final Selection for the posts of various civil services with different government departments is made collectively on the basis of a candidate’s performance in Civil Services Main Examination and Interview round of testing. A Final Merit List is prepared on the basis of both the tests.

To appear for Civil Services candidates has to satisfy minimum qualifying examination criteria, age, nationality etc as set by the Government of India. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are offered reservation benefits as listed in the Constitution of India or amended by parliament of India time to time.

On the basis of Civil Services Examination 2015 recruitment shall be done to the following posts and services

(ii) Indian Foreign Service.
(iii) Indian Police Service.
(iv) Indian P & T Accounts & Finance Service, Group ‘A’.
(v) Indian Audit and Accounts Service, Group ‘A’.
(vi) Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise), Group ‘A’.
(vii) Indian Defence Accounts Service, Group ‘A’.
(viii) Indian Revenue Service (I.T.), Group ‘A’.
(ix) Indian Ordnance Factories Service, Group ‘A’ (Assistant Works Manager,
Administration).
(x) Indian Postal Service, Group ‘A’.
(xi) Indian Civil Accounts Service, Group ‘A’.
(xii) Indian Railway Traffic Service, Group ‘A’.
(xiii) Indian Railway Accounts Service, Group 'A'.
(xiv) Indian Railway Personnel Service, Group ‘A’.
(xv) Post of Assistant Security Commissioner in Railway Protection Force, Group ‘A’
(xvi) Indian Defence Estates Service, Group ‘A’.
(xvii) Indian Information Service (Junior Grade), Group ‘A’.
(xviii) Indian Trade Service, Group 'A' (Gr. III).
(xix) Indian Corporate Law Service, Group "A".
(xx) Armed Forces Headquarters Civil Service, Group ‘B’ (Section Officer’s Grade).
(xxi) Delhi, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu and Dadra &
Nagar Haveli Civil Service, Group 'B'.
(xxii) Delhi, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu and Dadra &
Nagar Haveli Police Service, Group 'B'.
(xxiii) Pondicherry Civil Service, Group 'B'.
