Chicago the first US city to make Computer Science a core subject

I am wandering, whether talent opens up in Chicago? Being from India, I know and perhaps world knows and heard about Chicago Conference from where Swami Vivekanand took to new heights.

In good old days Mathematics and  English was key to excel in education, job and life. However, in 21st Century Computer Science kids are the torch bearers. Computer Science, both as study discipline and as technology is leading in all walks of life and the trend will remain continuous in the coming decades.

Today, Chicago became the first major city in the United State to make computer science a compulsory requirement for all High School graduation. Thanks to the School Board for voting in favor.

I hope other cities in the world will also follow the trend soon so not a single child left behind from computer science education.
