COURSES OFFERED AND ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

The courses offered through the Directorate of Distance Education and the eligibility conditions for admission are as follow :-

01. M.Sc. (Computer Science)
(i) Two Years
(ii) One Year (Under lateral entry scheme)

Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in any discipline. PGDCA/PGDCSA/PGDCS/Post B.A. or B.Sc. DCA/BIT or BIS (only those enrolled upto year 2000-01)/A level of DOEACC (After Graduation)

02. MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS (MCA)
(i) Three Years
(ii) One Year (Under lateral entry scheme)

Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
M. Sc. (Computer Sc.) / M.Sc.(Software)/M.Sc.(IT)/MIT

03. MCA (5 Yr. integrated course after 10+2) Five Years

Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent examination from Board of School Education, Haryana/CBSE or any other board recognised by Board of School Education Haryana/CBSE or 3 years Diploma from Board of Technical Education, Haryana or its equivalent from recognised board.

04. M.A. (Mass Communication) (i) Two Years

Eligibility: Graduation in any stream from any recognised university.

05. M.A. ( Mass Communication) - IInd Year - (ii) One Year (Under lateral entry scheme)

Eligibility: PG Diploma in Journalism, Communication Mass Communication, Advertising, Public Relations from a recognised University after graduation in any discipline from a recognised university.





06. Master of Insurance Business (MIB) - Two Years

Eligibility: Any Graduate or Post-Graduate degree from the recognised University or Fellow of ICSI/ ICAI / ICFAI/ICWAI.

07. Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Two Years
Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline.

08. Master of Commerce (M.Com.) - Two Years

Eligibility: Any Graduate from the recognised University or Fellow of ICSI/ICAI/ICFAI/ICWAI/ Similar body.

09. P.G. Diplima in Computer Applications (PGDCA) - One Year
Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

10. P.G. Diploma in Advertising & Public Relations (PGDA& PR) - One Year
Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in any descipline.

11. P.G. Diploma in Taxation (PGDT) - One Year
Eligibility: Any Graduate or Post-Graduate degree from a recognised University or Fellow of ICSI/ICFAI/ICWAI/ICAI

12. P.G. Diploma in Environmental Management (PGDEM) -One Year
Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

13. P.G. Diploma in Bakery Science and Technology (PGDBST) - One Year
Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

14. P. G. Diploma in Counseling & Behaviour Modification (PGDCBM) - One Year
Eligibility: Post Graduate degree in any discipline.

15. P. G. Diploma in Industrial Safety Management (PGDISM) - One Year
Eligibility: Graduate in any discipline.

16. Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - 3 Years

Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent examination from Board of School Education, Haryana/CBSE or any other board recognised by Board of School Education Haryana/CBSE or 3 years Diploma from Board of Technical Education, Haryana or its equivalent from recognized board.

17. B.A. (Mass Communication) - 3 Years

Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent examination from Board of School Education, Haryana/CBSE or any other board recognised by Board of School Education Haryana/CBSE or 3 years Diploma from Board of Technical Education, Haryana or its equivalent from recognised board.

18. Bachelor of Fashion Studies (only through study centres) - 3 Years Integrated

Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent examination from Board of School Education, Haryana/CBSE or any other board recognised by Board of School Education Haryana/CBSE or 3 years Diploma from Board of Technical Education, Haryana or its equivalent from recognised board with atleast 40% marks.


The Prospectus can be obtained from the Directorate of Distance Education, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar from 16.06.2008, on cash payment of Rs. 400/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/BC of Haryana). These can also be obtained by sending DD of Rs. 450/- (Rs. 150/- in case of SC/BC of Haryana) favouring Registrar, G.J.U.S. & T, Hisar.

The students can submit their admission form either directly to the Directorate of Distance Education or through the Study Centres, the list of which is available on University website.

Last date for MBA, MCA, PGDCA, M.Sc. (Computer Science): 31.08.2008 & with a late fee of Rs.500/- : 30.09.2008 & with a late fee of Rs.1000/- : 31.10.2008

Last date for all other courses: 31.10.2008 with a late fee of Rs.500/- : 30.11.2008 & with a late fee of Rs.1000/- : 31.12.2008
