Admission to B.Tech (IT) PROGRAMME 2008
Eligibility: Educational Qualification (For Delhi Region Candidates):
A candidate passing any one of the following examination from recognized School/ College/ Institute located within the National Capital Territory of Delhi only and securing 60 percent or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics shall be eligible for admission provided he/she passed in each subject separately:
(i) Senior School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Central Board of Secondary Educational (C.B.S.E.), New Delhi.
(ii) Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
(iii) Any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of the C.B.S.E.
(For Outside Delhi Region Candidates):
A candidate passing anyone of the following examinations from the recognized School/ College /Institute located outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi only and securing 60 percent or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics shall be eligible for admission provided he/she has passed in each subject separately:
(i) Senior School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Central Board of Secondary Educational (C.B.S.E.), New Delhi.
(ii) Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
(iii) Any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of the C.B.S.E.
Note: A candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study either at the 10th Class level or 12th Class level (core or elective).
Who can apply:
(In addition to minimum qualification student must have secured the Rank upto as mentioned below in the common entrance exam (CEE 2008) conducted by Delhi University for admission to Delhi College of Engineering and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology to be considered for Delhi Region. And a rank in AIEEE-2008 conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education for admission to First Engineering courses across the country, to be considered for Outside Delhi Category.

Category: DP Delhi (DCE-NSIT Test): 100 (DP List) Outside Delhi (AIEEE Rank): 300000 Application procedure: Candidates who satisfy the minimum requirements for qualifications, can apply online (this is the only way to apply). They will have to print out their form and send it with a draft for Rs 500 payable to “IIIT Delhi” as examination fee to at the following address (through speed post only)

They must keep a copy of this form, which will be needed for appearing in the exam.
The candidates will have to undergo a screening test which will be conducted on Aug 23. The candidate should bring a copy of the form he/she had sent earlier, along with a valid photo ID for appearing in the screening test (NSIT-DCE Test/AIEE admit cards can also serve as valid ID).
The candidates, who are selected through the test for admission in IIIT Delhi, will have to show, at the time of admission, documents about the rank in NSIT-DCE Test/AIEE, marks in class XII, proof of residency, etc. Anyone found not satisfying the requirements or found having misrepresented the facts will be liable for cancellation of his/her candidature.

No. of Seats : The maximum no. of seats for the program starting in 2008 is 60, of these 85% are reserved for Delhi students (as defined by NSIT/DCE Test) & 15% for the outside Delhi student.
