Indira Gandhi National Open University





The School of Agriculture (SOA) aims to improve and sustain agricultural productivity and duality of human life in rural areas through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) in agriculture and allied sectors. The applications are invited for admission to the following programmes:

1. PG Diploma in Food Safety & Quality Management (PGDFSQM)*
2. PG Diploma in Plantation Management (PGDPM)
3. PG Certificate in Agriculture Policy (PGCAP)
4. Diploma in Value Added Products from Fruits & Vegetables (DVAPFV)

5. Diploma in Dairy Technology (DDT)
6. Diploma in Meat Technology (DMT)
7. Diploma in Production of Value Added Products from Cereals, Pulses and Oilseeds (DPVCPO)

8. Diploma in Fish Products Technology (DFPT) `
9. Diploma in Watershed Management (DWM)
10. Certificate in Organic Farming (COF)
11. Certificate in Sericulture (CIS)
12. Certificate in Water Harvesting and Management (CWHM)
13. Certificate in Beekeeping (CIB)
14. Certificate in Poultry Farming (CPF)

Eligibility: For Sl. No. 1: Graduation in Food Science/ Agriculture/ Dairy/ Veterinary/ Fisheries / Home Science/Hotel Management/Science with Chemistry/ Bio-chemistry or Microbiology as one of the subjects/ equivalent.

For Sl. No. 2 & 3: Graduation in any discipline.

For Sl. No. 4 to 9: 10+2/ Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP) from IGNOU

10th Pass may enroll simultaneously for both BPP and the Diploma programme.

For Sl. No. 10: 10+2 / BPP from IGNOU

For Sl. No. 11: 10th Pass / Non 10th pass having two years of experience in sericulture

For Sl. No. 12: 10th Pass

For Sl. No. 13 & 14: 8th Pass

Application procedure: The Common Prospectus shall be applicable to the above programmes. The same can be obtained from the Registrar, SRD, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068 and also from all the Regional Centres of IGNOU by sending Rs. 150.00 through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of 'lGNOU' payable at New Delhi/the city of concerned Regional Centre/or paying Rs. 100.00 in cash at the respective sale counters.

Admission form can be downloaded from the IGNOU website and submitted along with DD for Rs. 100.00 in addition to the programme fee.
