Eligibility Criteria

For M.Tech. Programs

For admission to M.Tech. Programmes the applicant must have passed the qualifying examination of Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent cumulative grade point index) or any other qualifying degree examination considered as equivalent by Nirma University. (With minimum 55% marks or equivalent CPI).

For sponsored category the applicants must have 55% of aggregate marks or an equivalent cumulative grade point index in the qualifying examination and at least 2 years of experience in the concerned field after passing qualifying examination on the date of interview of admission. He / She should produce certificate from the sponsoring organization in the Performa provided in the application form along with experience certificate, last pay certificate and provident fund slip.

For all categories if applicant has passed the qualifying examination from University other than Nirma University he/she will be required to obtain eligibility certificate from Nirma University. The arrangement for obtaining the same will be made on the spot on payment of Rs. 500/-.

For Ph.D. Program:

The candidates holding Master Degree or equivalent with 60% or equivalent grade from the recognized university will be considered eligible for registration for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the relevant Programme.

Application Procedure

Application form along with prospectus will be available from the Office of the Institute from 17th May, 2010 onwards during 11 AM to 3 PM on payment of Rs.1000/-.

Application form can also be downloaded from the institute’s website and submit the same on the given address along with the Demand Draft of Rs.1000/- in favour of “Institute of Technology, Nirma University”, payable at Ahmedabad so as to reach by 19th June, 2010.
