Junior Research Fellows will be engaged initialy for ONE YEAR and is extendable for further periods based on assessment of their work and requirements of project. The maximum period of engagement of Junior Research Fellow shall not exceed four years.
Research Scientist Positions are purely temporary and depend upon project requirements / duration. Maximum Period of engagement of Research Scientists shall not exceed 3 years.
Age Limit: Junior Research Fellow (JRF 01 to 11): 28 Years as on 3 October 2014 (33 years for Sc / ST and 31 Years for OBC). Persons with disabilities are eligible for age relexation as per Govt of India orders.
Research Scientists (RS 01 and RS 02): 35 Years as on 3 October 2014 (40 years in case of SC / ST candidates and 38 Years for OBC Candidates). Persons with disabilities are eligible for age relexation as per Govt of India orders. Ex-Servicemen are eligible for Age Relexation as per Government of India orders on the subject.
Emoluments
JRF Recruited with M.Sc: Rs. 16000/- per month for the 1st and 2nd years and Rs. 18000/- for the subsequent years.
JRF Recruited with ME/M.Tech- Rs. 18000/- per month for the 1st and 2nd years and Rs. 20000 per month for the subsequent years.
In addition JRFs are eligible for HRA as per Government of India Norms and medical benefits as per rules of NRSC / ISRO
Research Scientists: Rs. 15,600-39,100 (PB-3) with GP of Rs. 5400/- + DA/HRA as per government of India Norms.
