Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya (JNKVV)

Applications on prescribed form are invited for admission to Master and Ph.D. degree programmes for free and payment seats in following degree programmes under faculty of Agriculture and Agricultural Engineering for the Academic Session 2010-11.

M.Sc.(Ag): Genetics & Plant Breeding, Agronomy, Soil Science, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension.

M.Sc (Horticulture).: Fruit Science, Vegetable Science.

M.Sc.: Plant Physiology, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, Agricultural Statistics, Food Technology

M.Sc (Forestry): Agroforestry, Plantation Technology

M.B.A.: Agri–Bussiness Management

M.Tech.: In all 3 fields of specialization viz., Farm Machinery & Power Engineering, Processing & Food Engineering, and Soil & Water Engineering

Ph.D.: Agriculture and Agril. Engg. Faculties, in relevant subjects.

Note: Candidates will be selected for admission on merit basis. Preference will be given to JNKVV Graduates for admission to the above PG / Ph.D. degree programme.


Application Procedure

Application Forms and Brief Information containing details including fees structure, etc. can be obtained w.e.f. 30.05.2010 in person from the Registrar, JNKVV, Krishinagar, Adhartal, Jabalpur, or from the Dean, College of Agriculture / Agricultural Engineering, Jabalpur / Rewa / Tikamgarh, on payment of Rs. 250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty only) in the shape of Indian Postal Order or Bank Draft payable to JNKVV at Jabalpur.

The form can also be obtained by post by sending a self addressed envelop duly stamped of Rs. 10/-. Application forms will be supplied by ordinary post only.

The admission notice and application form will also be available on JNKVV website www.jnkvv.nic.in with the condition to pay of Rs. 250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty only) in the shape of Indian Postal Order or Bank Draft payable to JNKVV at Jabalpur along with the application form.

Admission forms duly filled in all respect should be submitted to the Director Instruction, JNKVV, Jabalpur on or before 20.06.2010 up to 5.00 pm.

A self addressed 10 x 22 cm envelope duly affixed with postal stamp of Rs. 05/- should be attached along with the application form for the purpose of correspondence.

Bihar - VIth CONVOCATION - 2009

Dr. B.B.Singh joined as Registrar of the University on 06th March, 2009. Earlier Dr. Singh
officiated as Director Administration of Rajendra Agricultural University for nearly four years
and as Director Students’ Welfare for nearly one year. Dr.Singh has uniformly brilliant academic
records with top position both at Masters and Ph.D. level programme. He has more than fifty
research publications in National and International journals of repute. He is also author of two
books on marketing of Wheat and Rice in India besides dozens of research publication published in book form. Borne in July, 1948, Dr. Singh is a rare combination of Academic excellence and
excellence in the field of extra and cocurricular activities specially games and sports.

VIth CONVOCATION

The VIth Convocation of the University held on 03rd April, 2009 at historical Sugarcane Research Institute, Pusa was a grand success under the able leadership of Dr. M.L.Choudhary,
Vice-Chancellor and management of Dr. B.B.Singh, Registrar. Dr. R. Chidambaram, Principal
Scientific Advisor to Govt. of India was the Chief Guest and Shri R.L. Bhatia, Hon’ble Governor
and Chancellor, Rajendra Agricultural University presided over the Convocation function. Three
eminent Agricultural Scientists namely Dr. V. L. Chopra, Member, Planning Commission, New Delhi, Dr. C.D.Mayee, Chairman, Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board, New Delhi and Dr. K. L. Chadha, Former Deputy Director General (Horticulture), ICAR, New Delhi were awarded Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) by the Hon’ble Chancellor.

In all 435 (four hundred thirty five) candidates were awarded degree as per the following
