SCREENING TEST : SEPT 2008




As per the Screening Test regulations notified by the Medical Council of India with approval of the Government of India, “An Indian citizen possessing a primary medial qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council on or after 15.03.02002 shall have to qualify a screening test”.

The next session of the Screening Test for Indian Nationals with Foreign Medical Qualification will be held on the 28th September 2008.

Indian citizens possessing Foreign Medical Qualifications can apply subject to meeting the eligibility criteria. For details of eligibility criteria, examination pattern & other details, kindly refer to Information Bulletin.

Attention all the reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC)




This year it has been decided by Delhi University, that the general category seats will be filled on the basis of merit of all the category candidates through common merit list. As a result, the rank of general category candidates declared under DG category will also stand modified accordingly. All the SC/ST/OBC/CW/PH category candidates are hereby informed that the common merit list of CEE results has also been unloaded in the DCE website (www.dce.ac.in) and notice boards of the Institute. The common merit list comprises of all the candidates i.e. general/SC/ST/OBC/CW/PH and order of their overall rank.

Accordingly, all the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/CW/PH category coming in the common merit list are advised to attend the counseling for general category seats as per the table below, along with the general category candidates as well as under the respective reserved category as per the schedule published in the prospectus -2008.

a) First preference will be given to B.Tech./ BE in Electrical/ Electronics Engg or equivalent with minimum 55% marks in qualifying degree exam. Or CGPA of 6.25 on 10 point scale and valid GATE Score . However, in the case of SC/ST candidates, 50% marks in qualifying exam. Or CGPA of 5.75 on 10 point scale with valid GATE Score is required.

b) Second preference will be given to B.Tech./BE in Electrical/Electronics Engg. with minimum percentage of marks in qualifying degree exam. As mentioned at (a) above, without GATE Score.

Note: For sponsored candidates, the minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying degree examination is 55% or CGPA of 6.25 on 10 point scale (50% marks or CGPA of 5.75 on 10 point scale in case of SC/ST candidates).
The sponsored candidates should possess minimum 2 years experience in the organization/ organization(s) of the types specified on the last date of receipt of application out of which at least one year continuous experience should be as regular employee in the sponsoring organization.

For Ph.D. :
Computer Engg.: M.Tech. in Computer Engg./ Computer Science/ information Technology with minimum 70% marks in qualifying exam. Or 7.75 CGPA on 10 point scale.
