Duration: 1 Year
1st Semester at FRI Dehradun from 21 July 2014 to 30 December 2014

Qualification: Graduate degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in Science with Chemistry as one of the subject. (For SC / ST candidates’ 45% marks). Admission will be on Merit basis.

Course Fee: Rs. 100 000 in 2 installments of Rs. 40000/- (1st Semester at FRI) and Rs. 60000 (2nd Semester at FFDC Kannauj).

Hostel Fee etc as applicable as per the rules of the FRI (Deemed) University and FFDC Kannauj. Hostel will be available on payment of Fee.

DSE Science Research Council Awards 2014-15

Government of India - Department of Atomic Energy

Applications are invited from young scientists and engineers who have proven track record in the respective field, to satiate their innovative ideas and pursue advanced research in an accelerated pace, the “DAE-Science Research Council Outstanding Investigators” (DAE-SR-OI) awards for the year 2014-15.

The award includes a research grant for a period of 5 years which shall be used for the sole purpose of pursuing the research project. Besides research grant, the awardees will be given an incentive of Rs. 25000/- per month for five years in addition to the salary that they draw from their employer. (Conditions apply).

Age Limit: The applicant should be below 47 years as on 31 December 2014.

Admission 2014: Post Diploma in Textile Processing

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates by the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Varanasi and Salem for admission to Post Diploma in Textile Processing for the session commencing from 16 July 2014.

Admission Requirements
Age: Minimum age requirement is 17 years as on 1 October 2014

Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed Senior School Certificate Examination OR Indian School Certificate Examination (10+2) 12 year course or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with atleast 50% marks (45% for SC / ST / OBC  Non- Creamy Layer / CWWAPP) and for a candidate with locomotory disability of lower limbs (PH) are required in the aggregate of four subjects including English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology provided the candidate has passed each subject separately.

Reservation of Seats

• 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates
• 7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates
• 27% seats are reserved for Non-Creamy Layer OBC candidates as mentioned in the Central List of OBC
• 5% seats are reserved for horizontal basis for physically handicapped candidates in the seats of respective category.

Date of receipt of completed application from  from 22 May 2014 to 2 June 2014 till 4 pm

Admission will be made on the basis of merit of written selection test to be held on 28 June 2014 (Saturday) 2PM at venue mentioned in the admission ticket.
