Siksha O Anusandhan University, Orissa





B.Tech., M.Tech., MCA, MBBS, BDS, B.Pharm., M.Pharm, B.Sc. Nursing (Basic), B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic), M.Sc. in Nursing, Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering (BHMCT), MBA / MHTM / MHA, M.sc. in Industrial Bio-Technology, Lateral Entry (Engg., Pharm & HMCT for Diploma Holders)

Eligibility
B.Tech. : Pass or appearing at 10+2 exam. (2010) with Phy, Chem & Math OR Pass or appearing at the final year of three year Diploma programme in Engg. / Tech.
M.Tech. : Pass or appearing at B.E. / B.Tech / AMIE /MCA/ M.Sc. (2010) in the respective discipline or equivalent. For M.Tech. in Biotechnology candidates having B.Tech./B.E. in Biotechnology or related fields / M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Science or equivalent / MBBS / B.Pharm./ B.V.Sc. with Biology as a subject at +2 level are eligible.

GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test but they have to submit the filled up forms.
MCA : Pass or appearing at three year Bachelor Degree (2010) in any discipline from any recognized University having Maths at 10+2 level or at +3 level. Business Maths at +2 or +3 level are not permitted.
MBBS & BDS : Pass or appearing at 10+2 exam (2010) or equivalent with Phy, Chem, Bio(Botany and Zoology) and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Phy, Chem and Bio, taken together at the qualifying examination. In respect of the candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC the marks obtained in Phy, Chem and Bio taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates.
As per MCI & DCI guidelines candidates have to secure atleast 50% marks in Phy, Chem & Bio in the entrance test . For SC / ST / OBC the
minimum limit is 40%.
The lower age limit is 17 years and upper age limit is 25 years as on 31.12.2010. Upper age limit shall be relaxed by 5 years for SC / ST candidates.
B. Pharm: Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2010) with Phy & Chem along with one of the following subjects:
Mathematics/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology. OR Pass or appearing at the final year of Diploma programme in Pharmacy.
M.Pharm : Pass or appearing at B.Pharm Exam (2010) from any recognized university. GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test but they have to submit the filled up form.
B.Sc. in Nursing (Basic): Pass or appearing at 10+2 Exam. (2010) with at least 45% marks in aggregate (Eng., Phy, Chem., & Bio. taken together) and 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST/OBC candidates. The lower age limit is 17 years as on 31.12.2010.
B.Sc. in Nursing (Post Basic) : Passed GNM examination and registered with concerned State Nursing Council. Must be a member of TNAI.
M.Sc. in Nursing : Pass or appearing at B.Sc. Nursing (Basic / Post Basic) Degree with 55% aggregate marks from an Institution recognized by INC with a minimum of one year of experience either in teaching or clinical area and they should be registered in SNC as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.
Bachelor in Hotel Management & Catering Technology (BHMCT) : Pass or appearing at 10+2 Exam. (2010) in any discipline.
MBA/MHTM/MHA : Pass or appearing at three year Bachelor Degree (2010) in Science, Commerce and Arts/B.E./ B.Tech./ MBBS/ BHMS/ BAMS/ BDS/ BPT/ BHMCT/BBA/BCA examination or equivalent in 2010 from any recognized university having at least 50% of marks.
Candidates having a minimum composite score of 500 in MAT or any other equivalent test are exempted from appearing SAAT-2010 but they are required only to submit the filled up application form.
M.Sc. in Industrial Biotechnology : Pass or appearing (2010)three year B.Sc. & four year Bachelor course in Agriculture / Pharm / Veterinary / Engg. / Tech. / Medicine (MBBS/BDS) from any
recongnised University.
Lateral Entry Programmes : Engg., Pharm & HMCT for Diploma holders : Pass or appearing (2010) at three year diploma at least 60% marks in aggregate from SCTE & VT, Orissa or equivalent.
For Pharmacy, pass or appearing (2010) at two year diploma course in Pharmacy with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from SBP or SCTE & VT, Orissa, or equivalent.
Candidates appearing at the qualifying exam in the year 2010, may also apply.

Application Procedure
Cost of one set of application form & Information Brochure collected for conducting written examination is Rs.750/- (in person by cash from selling counters) OR Rs. 800/- (by post - with a DD drawn in favour of SIKSHA O ANUSANDHAN UNIVERSITY Payable at Bhubaneswar).
Application Form and Information Brochure can also be downloaded from university website www.soauniversity.ac.in and sent to the undersigned with a DD of Rs.750/- in favour of SIKSHA O ANUSANDHAN UNIVERSITY, payable at Bhubaneswar.

How To Apply
ENAT application forms are available online and offline. ENAT entrance fee is Rs.1000/- only per application / group irrespective of the no. of universities the student is applying for. Offline application forms and prospectus can be obtained directly from EPSI on payment of Rs.100/- (Prospectus Rs.50/- + Postal Charges Rs.50/-).

Online application can be downloaded from the website. The payment should be made in favour of “EPSI National Admission Test” payable at Delhi in the form of Demand Draft / Pay Order only and sent to Education Promotion Society for India, 4th Floor, PHD House, 4/2 Sri Institutional Area, August Kranti Marg, New Delhi – 110 016.

Admission to B. Pharmacy Course - 2009

Eligibility: (i) For admission to 85% State Quota Seats, the candidates) should be bonafide/
domicile of Himachal Pradesh. For admission to 15% All India Quota Seats, there is no such
condition of bonafide /domicile of Himachal Pradesh.

(ii) Should have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized Board/ University with Physics and
Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects; Mathematics/ Biology
Bio-Technology Computer Science.

Note: (1 ) Pass in 10+2 from National Open School (NIOS) New Delhi with the above subjects shall not be an entry qualification for taking this Entrance Test.

(2) Management Quota seats i.e. 33.1/3% of total state Quota Seats shall also be filled up by
respective Private Colleges on the basis of merit of marks obtained in the Entrance Test.

(iii) Age / Date of Birth: Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01 ,1984 are eligible. However, in case of SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidates upper age
limit is relaxed by 5 years i.e. who were born on or after October 01, 1979 are eligible.
Application procedure: (i) By Cash: For prescribed application form and detailed information
etc., the prospectus can be obtained at the University Examination Enquiry-cum-Sale Counter No.1, Library Building (Basement) Summer Hill, Shimla-5 from 8.5.2009 to 3.6.2009 during working hours on payment of Rs. 1000/- for General & other categories, and Rs 500/- for SC / ST categories only.

(ii) By Post: The request for obtaining the prospectus by post can only be addressed to the
Deputy Registrar (Entrance Tests) H.P. University, Shimla-111005 accompanied by crossed IPOs/Bank Draft amounting to Rs. 1050/- for General & other categories, and Rs.550/-for SC/ST categories drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, H.P. University, Shimla-5.

No request for obtaining the prospectus by post will be entertained after 22.5.2009. While
applying for obtaining the prospectus by post, the candidate must write that the "B. Pharmacy
Prospectus-2009 is required" and complete mailing address in CAPITAL LETTERS along with Telephone number.

Last date of submission of Forms: 03.06.2009 up to 5.00 pm
