IIITBH M.Tech Computer Science & Engineering 2013 Entrance Exam Test Dates, Exam Centers and Exam Timings
The entrance test shall be conducted in seven places*: Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai. The candidates are required to give at least 3 choices of the places for Entrance Test in order of preference. The entrance test will be held during the week (13th -19th May 2013). GATE Candidates exempted from Entrance Exam
Candidates possessing valid GATE (CS/IT) score of more than 75 percentile are exempt from entrance test. In such case the score of the entrance test shall supersede the GATE score for the purpose of evaluation and the GATE score shall not be considered.

National Engineering Aptitude Test (NEAT) - 2009 - for admission in various engineering programs
Lovely Professional University has announced NEAT 2009- National Engineering Aptitude test to be conducted in a span of 8 days from 3rd – 10th May. (a) diploma, in relevant discipline, of minimum 3 years duration after Matriculation OR
(b) diploma, in relevant discipline, of minimum 2 years duration after 10+2 from Polytechnic College/Institute affiliated with State Board of Technical Education/University, or recognized by UGC/AICTE with a minimum of 60% marks ( 55% for SC/ST) in aggregate or equivalent grade point.
(ii) has qualified LEET-TU with at least 20% aggregate marks (15% for SC/ST candidates). (iii) possesses a good moral character. (iv) is a citizen of India.
For MCA
Recognised Bachelors degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics at least at 10+2 school level and has also qualified in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the University. OR
Recognised Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics as one of the subjects and has also qualified in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the University.
For MSc PROGRAMMES:
Candidates with bachelor's degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary, and Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering Technology, 4-Years BS (Physician Assistant) Course, Medicine (MBBS) or BDS with at least 50% marks.
For ME/MTech Programme:
BE/BTech degree in concerned disciplines
For MPhil (PSYCHOLOGY) : Recognized Master’s Degree in Psychology/ Human Development with 55% Marks in aggregate and has also qualified in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the University.
For MPhil (ECONOMICS): Recognized Master’s Degree in Economics/Commerce/Business Administration/ Engineering/ Mathematics/ Statistics with 55% Marks in aggregate and has also qualified in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the University. The candidate must have studied Economics as one of the subjects during graduation/post-graduation.
For Ph.D.:
A candidate seeking admission to the PhD programme must have obtained ME/MTech/MPhil/ MCA/MSc/MA or equivalent degree in relevant discipline with minimum of 6.00 CGPA (on 10 point-scale) or 55% marks in aggregate where marks are awarded or NET qualified.
In exceptional cases, candidates with BE/BTech degree or equivalent in respective discipline with excellent academic record, minimum CGPA of 9.00 (on 10 point scale) or in marks 80% in aggregate, may be considered for direct admission. Application procedure: Candidates seeking admission in TU shall fill up the Application form appended to this Prospectus and send/submit the completed form to ADMISSION CELL, Thapar University, Patiala-147 004 only and not to any other Official of the Institution.

The candidates seeking admission in the first year of UG programme under sports category must attach an attested copy of the sports gradation certificate and other relevant sports participation certificates with the application form.
Every candidate must indicate in his/her application the category of seat for which he/she wants to apply. If no mention is made about the category, the candidate will be considered only for the general category. No candidate will be considered for admission against a reserved category for which he/she has not applied.
